It wasn't to be used to take shots at someone's church attendance. it was was a helpful tip, a promise of encouragement that was meant to come from being connect to a community/family. It wasn't about salvation, it was about strength and encouragement. We have placed all the emphasis on church attendance instead of meeting the needs of those who are in attendance. In this teaching Pastor Josh will break down Ephesians 4 and give us a look at what the church community/family is intended to look and operate like. Pastor Dean Love During the last hours of Jesus' life He teaches us a very power way to pray along with a prayer that is imperative for the Church. "He turned to Heaven" He set His focus on something much higher than His current dilemma. In the darkest hours of His life He looked to Heaven and said "Father". He prayed glorify Me that I may glorify You. When we learn this type of praying we will have to ability to glorify God when it's good and in the darkest hour of our life. "For there was not a needy person among them"(Acts 4:34 NASB)because everyone was willing to sacrifice and invest into each other's needs. The Church should be creating an environment where people can be comfortable enough to expose their "withered hand".
