In ‘Christian Creatives’, a new fortnightly podcast series, Laura Digan discusses sources of inspiration, practicalities and managing confidence with creatives from different disciplines. Albert talks with Jack Steel about the preparations he has been making to shoot the Sanctuary First Christmas Movie. It is due to be released on the 16 December. This is a short movie placed ten years from now in a more hostile environment. Following another serious financial world recession where food is scarce a young woman encounters obstacles that make her afraid to believe in goodness.

Albert Bogle speaks to Iain Jamieson about the Christmas Theme ‘ When Grace Comes to Town’. Iain asks where has grace gone in our public debate? He suggests that Grace needs to be encountered before we can live it out. This is a free ranging conversation that engages with the meaning of grace.

Albert speaks to his long time friend Fergus Buchanan on how individual people leave their mark on our lives. Fergus chats about Miss McNeill.

Beholding The Man… as a Lent Discipline. James Cathcart from the SF team talks about our Lent Disciplines and the wonder of incarnation. He invites us to take the time to picture what Jesus looks like… “A human like you and me and also unutterably unlike you and me. An entire human who is also entirely divine. Our minds struggle to find it sensible, but it makes sense. It makes sense that a loving God reaches out to us — to walk our road, to carry our burdens, to feel our pain but also our joy, our enthusiasm, our adventurous spirit.”

James Cathcart reflects on our March theme ‘In The Neighbourhood’ and this idea of contemplating our relationship with God in the context of the communities we live in. He shares a poem he has written about Glasgow, where he now lives, entitled ‘Glasgow-On Yourself…’ “Where the despicable and the inexplicable, / and the breathtakingly beautiful / jostle into view.”
