Joanne McNally has had a rapid rise through the comedy ranks. I first became aware of her when I saw her in a very interesting show called Singlehood. It turned out it was her first ever time performing in a show. She has since taken up Stand Up and has already done a show about being adopted with PJ Gallagher and her own show called BIte Me about her recovery from an eating disorder. I met up with me ole buddy Damian Clark. He is a Dublin based Aussie Comic that Irish audiences may remember him from his RTE2 series I Dare Ya. What a story Comedian Mo Amer has. Mo is Palestinian who was raised in Kuwait until forced to flee from the Iraqi invasion. Eventually his family settled in Houston, Texas. Mo tells the story of how tough it is to have your whole life taken from you, We also discuss the larger issue of the displacement of the Palestinian people, the wall with Israel and his belief that people can co-exist peacefully. Chatted with my buddy Tom Rhodes about loss, grief and the anger that follows. Tom was very honest about his struggles after losing his Father and Sister in a short space of time. It is great to hear his journey through that. We chatted about his Career journey too, which is not the normal career trajectory. We finished with a good dig at Trump which is always fun. I chatted with comedian and former Daily Show field producer Jena Friedman ahead of the release of her comedy special American Cunt on Seeso. After a week and a half of Trump scandal I was dying to find out what she thought of it all. We chatted about co-parenting too which sounded a little bit like I was trying to sell her on the idea of doing it with me but that was not the intention. People in the U.S. know Annie from MTV's Girl Code, Comedy Central's @Midnight and Chelsea Lately. I met Annie at the Vodafone Comedy Festival back in July. Godfrey is one of the big names of the US comedy circuit. Every time I see him on stage he kills like no other. His credits are too long to list but he just brought out a new special on Showtime. We chatted a lot about Racism and also about being the child of Nigerian immigrants and how he is not "Regular Black." We finished we some fun impressions.
