This is the first breakfast show of 2018 from our talented broadcasting team. With James at the helm and, as usual broadcast LIVE at 8.30am to the world, children from Year 1-6 all collaborated superbly to present news, information and our Name that Noise competition feature which was ALMOST guessed! This, along with the usual great music is always the best way to start your week.

Happy New Year from Westwood Talk! We may have only been back for 6 days in school but there is still lots to tell you about. With some fantastic learning taking place, music, healthy play, our history project and what's coming up, sit back and enjoy this latest electronic newsletter of everything happening at our wonderful school.

We're back and a Happy New Year to all of our listeners! Today's show was packed with new jingles, features and great music. Name that Noise was even guessed on only its third play! The children produced the top quality scripts we have come to expect from our broadcasters and presented a show that was just stunning. A final Westwood Talk offering for 2017 with everything from the past week and a half in the VERY busy lead up to and preparation for Christmas. With a suitable amount of festive cheer to keep us in the mood and a celebration of all that we have achieved, not just this term, but also across the year, do join us and listen in to how we celebrate Christmas at Westwood with Iford School.

Our final show of 2017! The breakfast team were on top form this morning, starting the day with a polished and confident broadcast, sharing a mix of school and Christmas news and even a new Name that Noise! With only a week until Christmas everyone was in high festive spirits and the songs kept coming. Everyone works together so well and they have all come a long way this term. We will be back with more Breakfast Show broadcasts in the new year, but for now a very Happy Christmas from everyone at Westwood Radio!

Today we were delighted to welcome the fantastic pupils from Berkley School to join us for a collaborative radio show. Everyone had written their own scripts and with a brief rehearsal we were live to the world once again with a mix of news and stories from both school, live interviews and jingles to keep us in the festive mood. Everyone was just superb and it was a real pleasure to watch the children at work.

In this latest episode of Westwood Talk I look back on two weeks of learning in school, the success of the Christmas Fair, a visit from our friend Russell Prue of Anderton Tiger Broadcasting and the launch of Westwood Oral History Project. Lots to catch up on!

Today we welcomed back friend of the show Russell Prue who co-hosted an outstanding workshop show with Dan and Dougie, which was such fun to be a part of. With a live interview from Oral History Consultant John Burgess, who joined us in the studio, plenty of banter, Christmas jingles and songs to keep us festive, there really is no better way to spend an afternoon. Huge thanks to Russell for another fantastic day and an enormous well done to our amazing broadcasters who have learnt so much once again.

With a distinctly festive feel to the show this morning, the breakfast crew were back to brighten your Monday once more with education radio broadcasting of the highest quality. Children from Year 1 - 6 presented another stunning show and with James hosting and controlling the jingles, everyone was in safe hands. Informative and up to date whilst playing festive tunes, this has something for everyone, including Name that Noise!

A first for Westwood Radio today as we experienced a power outage during our radio show! As ever, the children were total professionals and within a couple of minutes we were back on air and broadcasting to the world. With school news, a new 'Name that Noise' competition feature, new adverts and a full report on our visit to BBC Wiltshire, here is another show not to be missed. Music today came from Mariah Carey with All I want for Christmas is You, giving it all a festive, advent flavour!
