Broadcasting from the heart of Westwood with Iford Primary School, Westwood Radio is organised and run by the children for the local school and village community of Westwood, Wiltshire in the UK. Reporting on school news, sports, items of community, local and national interest and even birthday shout outs and interviews, the content of each broadcast is created entirely by the children and presented with confidence and energy LIVE every Friday afternoon at 2.30pm.

WEICT17 Radio Show 2017
12/06/2017 Duração: 57minOur very first outside broadcast LIVE from the West of England ICT Conference. This show was a joint collaboration with Russell Prue of Anderton Tiger and took the focus of Online Safety, in keeping with the conference itself What made this special was that every single one of our broadcasters came along to the conference and presented live in front of a room full of delegates as part of a seminar. The confidence and professionalism shown by our children was exemplary and what a day we had. Enjoy the full hour show again here. Ben took time from his busy schedule to join us in the studio for the show and gave us a masterclass in presentation. With the usual top quality mix of school and community news alongside a live interview with Ben and a round up of this week's SATs, today's show was packed with content. 31/03/2017 Duração: 46minThis week's bumper show is the last of the term from our regular broadcast team, but what a show we had! The children conducted two very special interviews, one with Michelle Donelan, our local MP for Chippenham and also with Emma Hodgkins, founder of the wonderful Helen Hodgkin's Trust charity that we raise money for, providing clean water in Ghana for families. Fantastic skills in questioning and such an interesting listen. With our Mother's Monday news as well as all the usual sports, class and community news, this is an episode not to be missed. Mother's Monday Breakfast Show - 27.3.17

With three mums on the weather and Mr Rockey stepping in to do some mic work as poor Oscar was away, this was a lot of fun and the children were superb, broadcasting with confidence and style.
