For our radio broadcast rehearsal at the West of England ICT Conference 2017, the children were lucky enough to be able to interview Will Gardner, key speaker at the conference and CEO of Childnet International.

This morning we were treated to another live broadcast from our brilliant radio club broadcasters. They have only been together for a few weeks but once again they hosted and presented a polished and professional show. We played Human by Rag n Bone man, which has been removed for copyright reasons.

Our very first outside broadcast LIVE from the West of England ICT Conference. This show was a joint collaboration with Russell Prue of Anderton Tiger and took the focus of Online Safety, in keeping with the conference itself What made this special was that every single one of our broadcasters came along to the conference and presented live in front of a room full of delegates as part of a seminar. The confidence and professionalism shown by our children was exemplary and what a day we had. Enjoy the full hour show again here. The first show of the final term of the year and some real quality broadcasting from our children this afternoon. Great handovers and relaxed technique behind the microphone from all of our broadcasters along with the usual mix of cracking content, including an interview with some young people from the Prince's Trust. Songs played today were Symphony by Clean Bandit and Chained to the rhythm by Katy Perry. Both have been removed for copyright reasons.

Today's show was the last of Term 5 and highlights the high level of broadcasting that our brilliant young people are capable of. With an interview with our sports coach, Mr Kiely, school & community news and all the latest sports and weather this was another packed show. We played Let it Go from the Frozen soundtrack and Sax by Fleur East, both of which have been removed for copyright reasons.

Our 27th live weekly show this year so far and you can tell by the confidence and presentation of our young broadcasters! This morning our latest radio club group broadcast their first live show together and they were superb. With original scripts and a fine choice of music, all of the children were right at home behind the microphone. We also had a record number of listeners tuning in live this morning and we played Ed Sheeran Lego House as the chosen song, removed for copyright reasons.

Ben Prater from BBC Wiltshire joined us in the studio this afternoon for our live show so Josh and Dan took the opportunity to find out what it's like to be a BBC presenter. Ben was fantastic and here's the interview from the show for your enjoyment.

When you have a top presenter in your studio from BBC Wiltshire, the weekend weather is always going to sound professional and perfectly delivered! Today we were that lucky and Ben did us the kindness of reading the local weather forecast with his usual excellent brand of humour and skill. Here's a masterclass in how to present a feature.

Today's show was a wonderful experience for us all at Westwood Radio as we had the privilege to be joined by Ben Prater of BBC Wiltshire's Breakfast Show. Ben took time from his busy schedule to join us in the studio for the show and gave us a masterclass in presentation. With the usual top quality mix of school and community news alongside a live interview with Ben and a round up of this week's SATs, today's show was packed with content. We played Justin Timberlake's Can't stop the feeling and Little Mix's Shout out to my Ex, which were removed for copyright reasons. With a record number of emails, texts and tweets, we all had the best afternoon! Thanks Ben.

This show marks our 25th live weekly show this year so far! What an achievement. Great updates on class news, a reminder of the upcoming Scarecrow Trail and the children's thoughts on SATs next week. Here is another top quality broadcast from the children of Westwood with Iford School's Radio Club. With original scripts, top news stories and weather for the week ahead, these children have really progressed this term in their broadcasting ability. We played Shut up and Dance by Walk the Moon, which has been removed for copyright reasons.

This week's bumper show is the last of the term from our regular broadcast team, but what a show we had! The children conducted two very special interviews, one with Michelle Donelan, our local MP for Chippenham and also with Emma Hodgkins, founder of the wonderful Helen Hodgkin's Trust charity that we raise money for, providing clean water in Ghana for families. Fantastic skills in questioning and such an interesting listen. With our Mother's Monday news as well as all the usual sports, class and community news, this is an episode not to be missed. We played Greatest day by Take That, which has been removed for copyright reasons, but still makes this our longest show yet!

Today was a very special show as it was radio club group two's first live broadcast AND we were joined by the children's mums as part of Mother's Monday. With three mums on the weather and Mr Rockey stepping in to do some mic work as poor Oscar was away, this was a lot of fun and the children were superb, broadcasting with confidence and style. We played Happy by Pharrell Williams and, of course, this was removed for copyright reasons. Well done everyone, great show!

This week's show was entirely planned and broadcast by our fabulous broadcasters and included features on the £1 challenge, our school clubs and blogs and another brilliant myth from one of our blogs. Along with all the usual top news, this is another quality podcast episode from the children of Westwood Radio. A scoop for us this week as we got to interview Ruth Barnes, winner of the Bath Half Marathon women's race. Along with special features on myths and legends from our blogs, Orchid class £1 challenge and the usual great mix of news, sports and weather, this is a fantastic show from our children. Copyright music has been removed and today we played Cake by the Ocean by DNCE.

Another fantastic session with our radio club this week. With Luke on mics and Lennie on Jingles we talked about our class trips and practiced good broadcasting technique and handovers. Great fun!

This is the very first recording of our newly formed radio club group. In their very first session together they have already shown tremendous confidence. With Sophie on Jingles and Henry on Mics, this is a great start!
