There was a lot of pressure for Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo to out perform Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo because this was the first sequel produced by Happy Madison. Adam Sandler really loved the idea of Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo, but not enough to actually play the starring role because he found the Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo role to be too demeaning. Instead he asked his friend, Rob Schneider, to play Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo and Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo because he has no dignity.
