  • When you expect nothing in life, everything is a great gift.

    10/02/2016 Duração: 11min

When you expect nothing in life, everything is a great gift. When you expect things and don't get them, you ultimately set yourself up for sadness, frustration, fear, anger, and resentment. My mom once told me, after being married for 30 years, that the only way she could be completely happy with my dad was to expect nothing out of him, then everything good he did was something to be grateful for. • Today I struggled with trying not to fix a family member.

    05/02/2016 Duração: 11min

Today, I struggled with trying not to fix a family member. I was talking to my mom shortly before making this video, and she is very physically sick at the moment. A little while back she fell off of her horse, and she has been struggling through physical therapy ever since to recover. My first reaction to this has always been, why my mom? I already lost my dad, why does my mom have to suffer? I tried to console her and give her some insight in to what I do in similar circumstances, but this only angered her and she told me that there is no way I could know what she is feeling. In the past, this may have frustrated me, and today I am happy I can be a loving son to my mom. I thanked her multiple times for going through the pain and suffering to be here with me, today. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jerrybanfield/support

    02/02/2016 Duração: 11min

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve, the fear of failure. Today, I recognize the fear of failure I have when trying new things, and this allows me to step through it. I just finished creating some videos to apply for the Facebook Ad Awards, and I made the mistake of looking up the previous year's winners. Last year, companies like Proctor & Gamble and Mercedes Benz were in the running for the awards, and this immediately made me feel small and insignificant. It made me question why I even trying to compete for the award. However, I immediately recognized what was happening and continued with my application. As an entrepreneur you have to embrace the fear of failure and I am thankful to have found success with my business, today. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jerrybanfield/support

    27/01/2016 Duração: 10min

Help others achieve their dreams and you will achieve yours. Life makes sense when I am helping someone, or I am being helped.
