We will look at seven psalms today, Psalms 26-32. There are many amazing attributes of our God described in these Psalms. We will focus on two, His anger and His favor. Have you experienced both? Are you weeping through nights of your life, waiting for joy to come in the morning of life?

Today’s readings will be Psalms 20-25. In between is that great, great passage, Psalm 23, one of the most quoted chapters in all of scripture. But Jesus quotes Psalm 22:1 from the cross at Calvary. Did God forsake His Son Jesus? Can He forsake you?

Today is day three in our journey through the Book of Psalms. We will cover only three psalms today. Psalms 18 and 19 are two of my favorites. We will focus on the beginning and the end of them. Can you say, “I love you, O Lord” (18:1)? If so, how do you express that love to the Lord?

Today, we are in our second day of the Book of Psalms. We will go through Psalms 9-16. These psalms are filled with important concepts for living our lives. We focus on one today, are godly foundations being destroyed in your nation, or in your life? Or are you preserving your godly foundation? “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds” (Ps. 9:1).

Today, we begin the Book of Psalms. We are going to enjoy the whole book in thirty days. Psalms is basically the hymn book of the people of God for worship. It will be a wonderful and very blessed thirty days in the Book of Psalms.

We conclude the Book of Esther today with chapter 10, which is only three short verses. The Book of Esther is a story of God turning a crisis into a celebration. Has God done that in your life? Are you in crisis today? Will you trust Him to turn your crisis into a celebration?

In Esther 9, the Jews exercise their right to fight for survival. And they win. There are times when one must fight for survival. Are you willing?

In Esther 8, the Jews are given a chance to defend themselves. The victory is not won, but they can now fight for survival. Do you need a new plan, another chance? Are you ready to fight for your survival?

In Esther 7, Esther has her second feast and finally lays her petitions before the king. She exposes Haman and his despicable plan. Have you, or are you, trying to hide something from God or man? When it gets exposed, will it be positive or negative for you?

Today, we are in Esther 6, following the drama of Esther 5 when Haman builds the gallows in the middle of the night. He now wants to go see the king to get permission to hang Mordecai. Things do not always go as planned. When they don’t, are you frustrated or curious that God may be at work?

After Esther 4, with those great verses, “for such a time as this” (4:14) and “if I perish, I perish” (4:16), we jump into Esther 5. Esther takes a risk of a lifetime. She will win big or lose big. Have you faced such a choice? Did you risk it all?

Today, we continue our time in the Book of Esther by looking at chapter 4. What happens when you get bad news? Do you have a physical or spiritual response?

In Esther 2, Esther is stuck in a very awkward situation. Her God-given gifts got her there. But, what to do, what to do? Are you stuck in an awkward situation? What will you do?

Today, we continue our study in the Book of Esther. Mordecai is challenged but stands for what he believes. It may cost him his life. How strong are your beliefs?

Today, we begin our study of the Book of Esther. Esther is staged after Israel was exiled to Babylon when Persia replaced Babylon as the ruling power.

Today, we are in Nehemiah 12, and guess what? A lot more names, once again. But in the midst of names, there is a celebration. Do you celebrate your relationship with God?

Today, we conclude the Book of Nehemiah with chapter 13. Nehemiah leaves for a while, then returns to see how things are going in Jerusalem; not so good. He holds the people accountable. Are you comfortable being held accountable or holding people accountable?

Nehemiah 10 begins with another long list of names. These are those who signed the covenant made at the end of chapter 9. Have you ever signed a “covenant” as part of a church?

Today brings us to Nehemiah 11. And guess what? A lot of names again in Nehemiah chapter 11. The wall was completed. Now the city needed inhabitants; but people were hesitant to move. Are you a home body? If God wanted you to move, how would you respond?

In Nehemiah 9, hearing the Word of God leads the people of Israel to confess their sins which results in making a covenant with God. Does God’s Word convict you of sin? Does God’s Word draw you closer to Him?
