Sinopse

Pub Songs aren't just songs about drinking. For The Celtfather, these are fun songs you can sing-along and enjoy. Some are Irish or Scottish. Others are smash hits at science fiction conventions. Geek Pub Songs highlights the music of Marc Gunn, as well music from Celtic and Geek musicians that he loves. You'll enjoy this music over a pint at your local pub or while hanging out in your local game store. It's a show to make you smile.

  • Charting Your Celtic Music Success and Rolling Stones Magazine #69

    30/08/2010 Duração: 43min

I had a wee eye-opening this week as I realized I downplayed some of my success with Kilted For H er Pleasure in the last show. I aim bigger than most Celtic bands online. So I expect more. But in all fairness, the release of Kilted was a huge success, topping a variety of charts. AND the album is also climbing in popularity on iTunes... Already! Totally cool. The second half of the show delves into a Celtic music idea I have for my Celtic MP3s Music Magazine. Can it be accomplished? Will it? And do you want to see it happen? • Music Promotion with Keywords #68

    23/08/2010 Duração: 36min

Music marketing is one of my specialties. But usually I don't talk about it much except in jest with my podcasts. Today, I go into a little more depth talking about promoting music or businesses using keywords. While this may seem to appeal only to businesses, I do my best to keep it relevant to the Celtic music fan who wants to see their favorite artist achieve success. 16/08/2010 Duração: 30min

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times, I love releasing new CDs. It's the excitement of knowing I brought something new and fun into the world that thousands of people  will enjoy over and over again. I do the same when I find a new CD I love. It's a thrill. I also love seeing my promotional efforts fulfilled. I spent seven or eight months talking about this CD. Did I get you excited about it? Are you telling your friends? I saw a bunch of people cross-posting my CD release announcement on Twitter. What about other places? It's a time to rejoice. I thank everyone who helped make this happen, especially Michael Fox, Kevin Mihalik, Scott Kindschy, Tanya Michna, Kristie Davis, Leslie Maynard, Michael T Clifford, Kris Dobie, Steve & Tammy Glove, Douglas Park and of course my Executive Producer Larry Owens of www.NRFBToyStore.com. I just got back from a killer show at InConJunction. So this week's show starts off talking about the exciting time I had in Indianapolis. There I got to see Tom Smith, the World's Fastest Filker, perform. That got me thinking that I need to do a special feature on the music of Science Fiction Conventions. So this week's show features a small fraction of the musicians and bands who I have met while performing at Science Fiction conventions. It's only a small portion of the great music you can find there. Oh! And I reveal the super-duper secret news I've been hinting about for the past three weeks.
