This week, Eric sits down with Matt Streim Co-Owner of Weathered Oaks Game Calls to talk about turkey calling tips and tricks, dos and don'ts. After two weeks off, Eric and Greg are back in the studio and joined by guest, Caleb Stillians from Rise Up. Caleb is a guide in Alaska and hunts almost year-round and camps 5 months out of the year in between hunts. He guides several hunts of several big game species throughout the year. Eric met Caleb at the ATA show this past January and had to get Caleb on the show to hear some of his stories. Chris Whitley with Get Outdoors 2Day thought the TikTok was just a social platform for people to goof off among other things, but it turns out there's an appetite for more hunting content. Rather than watching a 20-minute how-to YouTube video for 2 minutes of what you really needed to learn, Chris has created several dozens of short-form, quick-hit practical tips for hunters on the platform. Eric is joined by guest, Ped Dragich this week. Ped has vowed to stop sharing grip and grins altogether as a way to show that his actions speak louder than words in an attempt to prove that hunting means more to him than a grip and grin. Ped hunts for his own personal reasons and loves the process and all that goes into the hunt. The harvest, in his opinion, is only a small part of the whole spectrum of why he hunts.
