The third episode of 'The Book of Boba Fett,' has some interesting moments but seems to lack to sharpness of the first two episodes. We struggled with some of the storytelling decisions, and had some issues with the visual effects  as well. While this show has had some incredible moments, this episode we found to be lacking. After a year-long wait, we finally have a live-action 'Star Wars' series to discuss. 'The Book of Boba Fett,' has not broken any new ground in terms of location, but it is filling in a rich backstory for characters that have been easy to overlook in 'Star Wars' lore. The season finale of 'The Wheel of Time,' was polarizing for many book readers and show-watchers alike. It has many ups and downs, but it does improve on multiple viewings. There are story points that become much clearer and a resolution that sets up great things for season 2. When we dive deeper into the episode, it is evident that production issues related to COVID and one of the principle performers leaving the show, had a major impact on the production. Scenes had to be relocated and rewritten, CGI used to replace actors in costume, all made for a difficult production. 'The Wheel of Time,' episode seven, 'The Dark Along the Ways,'  reveals some of the shows most guarded secrets. 'Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings,' has stunning visuals and breathtaking fight choreography. However, it also contains so much more. It has a more nuanced approach to it's familial conflict and a storytelling style that promotes showing over telling. It is a film that feels fresh and timely, while also employing classic themes. Simu Liu and the rest of the cast shine and we cannot wait to see more of this character. This is our Nerd Flix & Chill podcast review of 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings.'
