She was the "good" girl growing up, no drinking, weed, partying, nothing; didn't even get drunk until the age of 41. She began Percocet for hormonal migraines in 1997, but her real nightmare began when she woke up with hard LEGAL drugs pumping in her veins, after a near-death rollover accident in 2006. After losing 10 yrs of her life in a pharma fog, a drug made her blackout behind the wheel, while driving on the highway, that's when she turned to cannabis.She is now a medical patient originally from Oregon and moved to Maryland, and has her MD card. Amy has lobbied for Cannabis on Capitol Hill, spoke at licensing hearings, shared her story at educational meetings around the state, and much more. onight on the program one of our Canna heroes will be joining us to tell his story, live at 8pm ETMany people know that we have medical cannabis in Canada but do they know whom and what got things started?Terry Parker, from Toronto, has treated his epilepsy with marijuana since he was in his teens. His disease subjected him to frequent seizures, and caused him to undergo a right temporal lobotomy in an effort to suppress the seizures. After other ineffective medical procedures, he began smoking marijuana, which lessened his symptoms. He kept a diary of drug use and effect, on the advice of his physician, and the doctor later gave him a letter specifying that he needed marijuana for medicinal purposes.His seizures have led to more than one hundred hospitalizations for injuries incurred during the episodes. An Ontario court ruled that he can grow his own marijuana legally, and threw out charges for possession and trafficking. Judge Sheppard ruled that denying Parker marijuana was an infringement of his Charter
