  • EP. 313: Going Back To The Well | Indiana Public Land

    07/12/2022 Duração: 01h11min

Today I’m joined by my good buddy Jacob Emery. Jacob’s season started off with a bang…then the grind set it. With the best part of November behind him he decided to go to the well that has produced in the past. With water levels down, that meant longer access and not quite as stealthy as a kayak. His persistences would pay off…and a tribute season continues. Thanks for listening! Today I'm joined by my good buddy Arron Bleise of The Fall podcast. Arron has had a great season filling two buck tags and had an absolutely epic spot and stalk hunt to kill a Michigan Hammer. Sometimes success finds you in ways you don’t imagine. But the element we control is our willingness to go for it. And that’s exactly how one of Arron’s hunt’s came together. • EP. 311: Two Tags Filled And Three Arrows

    23/11/2022 Duração: 02h11min

Today I'm joined by my good buddy Aaron Hepler. Aaron is one of the most dedicate outdoorsman I know. Regardless of season, Aaron is almost always in the woods scouting, hiking, hunting, looking for his next experience. This year he had a goal of filling two specific tags. One being his first ever bull Elk tag. The other his PA buck tag on public lands...which is a challenge...and something he manages to do with consistency. If he were going to fill these two tags he'd have to dust himself off after a heartbreaker of one that got away. 16/11/2022 Duração: 01h22min

Today I'm joined by my good buddy Jake Bush. Jake is known for his efficiency in killing giants in the early part of October. This year has thrown him a curveball with the areas he hunts being hit hard by EHD. He’s found most of his top target bucks dead…or has found out from others that they were found dead. He’s logged 750 miles this year boots on the ground trying to locate a target. You’ll find few people more dedicated than Jake…and I’d put money on him filling a tag before seasons end. So what’s an October bed hunter to do when the calendar has turned to November and beyond…that’s what we’re talking about today! • EP. 308: Patterning Scrape Dates For Big Bucks

    02/11/2022 Duração: 01h12min

Today on the podcast I’m joined by my good Buddy Jake Hofer. Jake is one of the guys who I’ve learned a lot from when it comes to using longer-term trail camera data to plan hunts. More specifically how I approach patterning scrapes is directly influenced by Jake’s approach (and love) for scrapes. Intimately learning when and how different scrapes are being used has helped me target specific dates related to a specific scape area. The past few years, I’ve picked a specific date I’ve seen active and not surprising, I had encounters with shooter bucks in both instances. Kinda crazy to pick one date in the entire whitetail calendar…and consistently have it produce. Hope you dig the conversation - thanks for listening! Dylan has found an approach that has filled his archery tag in Early October in the mountains of Pennsylvania the past two seasons. • EP. 304: Think Differently About Hunting

    05/10/2022 Duração: 02h02min

Today I’m joined by my good buddy Tony Peterson. As usual we cover a lot of ground in this episode. One of my favorite things about Tony is his willingness to think differently about hunting. Not just in the sense of hunting strategy (but we certainly cover this). But more about how tings outside of hunting influence how we hunt and how we think about hunting.
