In my first 44 years of life, I never understood people who loved Labrador Retrievers…for starters, they’re the basic bitch dog, everyone has one, especially black labs.Plus, they’re dumb. Studies say that they are smart, but they’re not. They walk into walls, forget your commands, and constantly do the opposite of what they’re told. There’s a famous story about twin 5-year-old boys with opposite personalities that perfectly fits today’s times and our seemingly never-ending battle to find contentment and calm in today’s America. Of the twins, one of them is chronically pessimistic, while the other is annoyingly optimistic. The latter of the two seems almost delusionally happy in even the most dour of circumstances. In an attempt to dampen his outlook, just to show him that the world isn’t always great, his dad took him to a room piled to the ceiling with horse manure. I realize that people of all ages are constantly opining about the trappings of technology, while, (ironically), usually typing on a keypad and/or staring at a screen. Let’s be real, you’re reading this on such technology.
