Shaani was a 1989 science fiction movie from Pakistan that few remember but it might just end up being the most important sci-fi movie ever. Okay, not really, but it's a fun jumping off point for me to explore cultural appropriation of genre fiction with.

The 2nd episode and Sami is already being overly serious and entirely unfunny on a topic that no one particularly wants him to talk about. You'd think he'd know better. Too bad he doesn't. Which is why this episode Sami expounds on why he is anti-religion and the difference between Islamophobia and Muslim-Phobia. If you're offended by frank discussions on religion, skip this week and come back next time. If not, struggle through the ramblings and pray to a higher power that next episode is funnier than this!
