Alan Maher set up Marcie Films (formerly Roads Entertainment) in 2013, produced the documentary Being Ap and served as the Irish partner for Maya Zinshtein’s Forever Pure, both of which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Alan produced Pat Collins’ biopic Song of Granite, which premiered at SXSW this March, and is now raising the finance for Hong Khaou’s drama Trade. Alan has been selected for the EFP Producer on the Move programme, representing Ireland at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Each year, the prestigious festival selects 20 promising, up-and-coming producers from throughout Europe to participate in the initiative which connects European producers with potential co-production partner
