Joe Chitel joins us from his Youtube channel Happy Place Explorers to dissect some trailers! He lends his expertise on a trailer for Jurassic World: The Ride, spitballing with James and Kevin about what makes for an effective theme park ride trailer, while providing the inside scoop about the ride itself. Then, they analyze the hedge maze that is the Doctor Sleep trailer, give an up-to-date opinion about The Current War, and cap the night on cloud nine with Charlie's Angels. Fresh from the pretentiousness of Cannes, James and Kevin return to the States where they find out that there's evidently an awards show for trailers that takes place, like, 10 miles from where they live. Jetlagged and bitter about being snubbed for an invite, the pair go through the categories and winners, giving insight into the winners through the perspective of professional trailer critics, and saying if and when they would have a "Kanye Moment" to bum rush the stage to call out a winner they strongly disagree with.   And, while they were gone, apparently trailers kept coming out... ? DID MOVIES NOT SEE THEIR POLITE AUTO-REPLY EMAIL SAYING THEY WERE OUT OF THE COUNTRY?! No matter, the boys chill out with Frozen 2, and assess whether or not Terminator: Dark Fate will have the ill-fortune of receiving a Never Need to See review.

James & Kevin swing with Peter Parker to the UK, grappling with the implications of including spoilers for a movie that came out three weeks prior in a trailer, wondering if having a villain from an alternate dimension lessens our ability to empathize with them, and whether or not the dick-punch gag worked. With an abundance of trailers dropping left and right, the boys take Spiderman's lead and sod off to Europe, embarking on their third Cannes-Quest. They assess the trailers, clips, or lack there of in... (Googles)... sunny France! Whether it be a kinetic romp like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, or a sweeping romance (with raking!) like A Hidden Life, they give you their assessment of this year's crop from the international festival, and dole out the coveted Palm Door for Best Trailer. Ooh! Someone wrote in, too! James & Kevin also take in some feedback regarding Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog, and are asked to assess if they were too easy on the former and too hard on the latter. And if y

James & Kevin keep lookin' back in the rearview, determining if anything in Us made them untethered, and if lightning finally struck in the DC Universe with Shazam.

Nerds had a hell of a week! James & Kevin give their quick thoughts on Sonic the Hedgehog, give their aye aye's to Captain Marvel, all before making their final move on Avengers: Endgame (unless someone decides to see it again).  

IT'S FINALLY HERE. Resident Bad Movie Correspondent (and potentially Good Trailer Correspondent...?) Jenny Hoks joins James & Kevin, who are on cloud nine with the new Star Wars Episode IX trailer (WHICH HAS A TITLE AND EVERYTHING). They also give abridged roars for The Lion King, merit a little playtime to Child's Play, and go quick and mean for Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Back in their nocturnal element, James & Kevin give Tune-Ups to a batch of horror films: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark gets another chapter, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile somehow gets more adjectives, and Pet Semetary tries to rise from the Need to See More ashes. Then, the boys lighten up! They take a machete to The Dead Don't Die, spy My Spy with their little eyes, and take a gander at a trailer some people call the gangster of love... they're wrong, of course, because it's Joker.

James and Kevin enjoy the 60s (or is it 70s...? WHATEVER, WE'RE NOT HISTORIANS) mayhem of the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood teaser. Then, they Tune-Up their thoughts on Aladdin, figure out if they still have a friend in Toy Story 4, and make their final move on the Avengers: Endgame trailer. Next, they take a page out of Booksmart, decide whether or not to give a treat to Good Boys, and will have something to say about Lucy in the Sky when they're 64... WHICH IS NOW.* *It should be noted this Beatles synchronicity is a complete coincidence, which they sincerely regret not realizing until well after recording the podcast.

Following their ill-fated Hitch Hikers segment, James & Kevin had to watch a Never Need to See movie - chosen by you! - and BOY DID THEY EVER cause here comes Cult of Chucky. But they're not alone drinking this Kool Aid - Jenny Hoks, the rockstar social media and bad movie correspondent joins them as they marvel at decapitations, a wonky mythos, and their running bet for which character would die first.

James and Kevin wonder where the molly's at in Midsommar, and, like a CGI bullet casing, have a teaser for The Irishman fall into their laps. Then, the boys tune up a litany of trailers! Whether it's finally getting a second trailer for The Man Who Killed Don Quixote after a year, or getting a second trailer for Pokemon Detective Pikachu after just a few weeks, they take a second gander and update their ratings accordingly. Will Dark Phoenix rise from its Never Need to See ashes? Will Brightburn shine to a double Need to See? Will Shazam and Hellboy... well, those never got official ratings, but AFTER they get those, will they improve/deflate? Will Tolkein be any less boring? Answers for the busy below! - Maybe. - Maybe. - Maybe. - No.

James & Kevin take another look at Aladdin to see what the fuss was all about (oh, the Genie) before getting their first impressions of Frozen 2. To accommodate all of the new music biopics (THANKS, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY), the boys go Hitch-Hiking to give rapid fire thoughts on 11 trailers (and half of them are music related!) Then, James & Kevin figure out if they'd like to play with Child's Play, figure out the odds of seeing Long Shot in a theater, and give you their thoughts on Yesterday today.

James and Kevin tune up the second Pet Semetary trailer, which includes spoilers for Hereditary (WE PROMISE IT MAKES SENSE IN CONTEXT) and... er, Pet Semetary. BUT ENOUGH ABOUT PETS AND RAMMING SPOILERS DOWN YOUR THROAT. The Pats and Rams played in the Super Bowl... but importantly, THERE WERE TV SPOTS IN BETWEEN THE SUPER BOWL. As such, James and Kevin rank all eight movie spots, including Us, Wonder Park, Toy Story 4, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and so much more! WE AIN'T DONE THOUGH. The boys throw a few more adjectives at Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, and then figure out if they can dig Shaft.

They may be entering the social security phase of their podcast, but James and Kevin aren't slowing down. First, they head to the Teaser Trailer Showroom to extrapolate whatever they can from Ghostbusters 3 (ADMITTEDLY NOT MUCH) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (ADMITTEDLY TOO MUCH). Then, they have a toast to High Life, have another round with John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, and end the night dozing with The Beach Bum.

The boys are right back at it, figuring out if they got the other five on the Us trailer, and try to chill out with Arctic. They also give (VERY) abridged thoughts on some of the trailers they missed over the hiatus, including Hellboy, Where'd You go Bernadette?, and Men in Black: International.  

Top Five Reasons to Listen to Trailer Hitch's Top Five Trailers of 2018: 1. James & Kevin are professionals! Anyone else looking at trailers as their own art form?! 2. Unless it involves Star Wars, they're fairly objective. 3. There's a few curveballs in these lists! Up to and including different #1's! (James had forgotten Kevin's #1 even came out that year). 4. They bothered to put in the proper research to say what month the trailer came out! ... Well, James did. 5. NEED I REMIND YOU, THEY'RE PC AF. James and Kevin cap the year of reviews off the a Tune-Up of Captain Marvel, hoping to get a trailer that focuses on the titular character and not Nick Fury. Then, the boys hit the trail with Triple Frontier, wonder if they should avert their eyes for Brightburn, all before getting to Avengers: Endgame, which is so insanely popular it doesn't even need a pun.

James & Kevin take Vox Lux back in for a Tune-Up and change their ratings. Next, they stop at the Teaser Trailer Showroom to cry Artemis Fowl, christen The Lion King, and make a story out of Once Upon a Deadpool. Then, they acquit On the Basis of Sex, decide if State Like Sleep is catatonic, and break in some thoughts on The Intruder. Also, a hearty congratulations to James Lieske & Jenny Hoks!

If there's one thing Trailer Hitch it's thankful for, it's DRAWINGS, BABY. James and Kevin run headlong into Animation Annihilation, reviewing trailers for Missing Link, UglyDolls, Mowgli, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, and Dumbo. They also take a look at not one, but two Toy Story 4 spots. If something was made by a VFX artist, the boys have something to say about it this week... Good thing, too, cause Overlord, steeped in great practical effects, came out! The boys look at a special case of retrospectively spoiler-y marketing, and stick it to the trailer editors by giving a spoiler-free review of the film.

James and Kevin give a quick Tune-Up for The Frontrunner before trying to sell each other trailers for Happy Death Day 2U and Destroyer in Touche Salesman. Then, they get vocal about Vox Lux, decide if Cold Pursuit is worth going after, all before courting Isn't it Romantic.

Special guest Joe Dhein joins the boys as they take a look at the new Aladdin teaser, figure out if they're allergic to Pet Semetary, all before determining if Miss Bala is number one with a bullet.  Also! Joe Dhein finally chides the guys on not seeing enough Double Need to See movies, and gives y'all the scoop on Bad Times at the El Royale.
