The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 marks Philip Seymour Hoffman's final full performance, as he passed away with one week left when filming Mockingjay Part 2. That's a topic for another podcast, though, and this episode is about Part 1... and we have some things to say. Joining this film's great ensemble is long-time friend and collaborator Julianne Moore; it's great to see them on screen together once again! In this movie, PSH channels his knowledge as a director and puts it to use as his character, Plutarch, has to direct Katniss in some interesting propaganda films for the now-in-full-swing revolution!

Hoff-fans, we're nearing the end and, with A Most Wanted Man, we get the last leading performance of our main man Philip Seymour Hoffman. The guys -- along with big PSH fan Kirkland Sheppard -- discuss (what Kirk calls) a "nuanced" performance that's masterfully executed by the big guy. The cast is great, the story is interesting, he's leaving us with a memorable performance late in his career... and come on, we just love doing German accents!

From Before The Devil Knows You're Dead to God's Pocket (is there a biblical theme here?), Kyle and Brian sit down with Joey Lewandowski and Michael Manzi, co-creators of our mothership The CageClub Podcast Network, for one last time to discuss take on this indie crime film from first-time director John Slattery. The reviews are mixed at best, but there's no denying Slattery called in some favors to assemble this strong cast starring our main man, Philip Seymour Hoffman.

This week, the guys (along with Wistful Thinking co-host Cara Gael O'Regan) talk about Catching Fire, the second installment of the international hit series The Hunger Games.
