Sinopse
In a time when film criticism is as provocative as ever, Feelin' Film ventures to change the discussion from what we hate about a film to what we love about it. We judge more on emotional experience than technical merit. Every movie makes us feel something.

Episode 126: Primer
10/09/2018 Duração: 01h09minFor week two of Sci-Fi September, we get deep... real deep. Primer is one of those time travel movies that demands multiple viewings just to understand, and we frame our discussion around the question of whether that's actually a good thing or not. We also talk about some of the technical aspects of this low-budget cult classic and, of course, share our emotional responses to the story being told. We are 71.8% sure that our conversation will not require you to take Tylenol afterward, so tune in now! Minisode 51: Searching
31/08/2018 Duração: 48minSearching is an incredible combination of innovative filmmaking, anxiety-inducing thrills, emotionally complex characters, and relevant commentary on the internet as both a danger and potential tool for good. Aaron and Don were both floored by writer/director Aneesh Chaganty's debut feature film and John Cho's performance in it, so they sat down for a conversation about what makes the film so special. Connecting With Classics 008: Lawrence of Arabia
29/08/2018 Duração: 01h37sFor this month, we’ve chosen to close out the dog days of summer with a classic worthy of the sweltering heat August is known for. 1962’s Lawrence of Arabia is an AFI Top 10 entry which turned 56 years old this year. The longest days of summer brought out one of the longest films we’ll watch for our podcast. If you have yet to watch this, set aside the time and then join us for some history and conversation about this epic. One of the goals for "Connecting With Classics" is listener participation. We will be hosting prize drawings for a poster of the Connecting With Classics movie of their choice plus podcast swag and more at the end of each calendar year. Entries into the drawing can be earned for every episode by watching the film and posting your own review or thoughts about the podcast episode in the comments section of the episode announcement post in our Feelin' Film Facebook Discussion Group. Episode 120: Mission: Impossible - Fallout
30/07/2018 Duração: 01h30minWe’re here to discuss one of our most anticipated films of the year, the newest entry in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible series. This film is the first to serve as a direct sequel story-wise to one before it, and also the first to feature a returning director. I know that we both are huge fans of Christopher McQuarrie’s direction in Rogue Nation and couldn’t have been happier that he was coming back. But with all this hype, expectations were high. Did it deliver? Your mission, listeners, should you choose to accept it… is to stick around and find out what we thought, after we briefly the first five films, of course. Connecting With Classics 007: Vertigo
24/07/2018 Duração: 56minWe've had this Hitchcock classic circled ever since the film celebrated its 60th anniversary in May 2018. It may be only #9 on AFI's latest Top 100 list, but checks in at #1 all-time on the Sight & Sound list. Joining us is a special guest, who last year completed the enormous challenge of watching Alfred Hitchcock’s entire filmography. He is Reed Lackey, from the podcast The Fear of God, and one of the biggest Hitchcock fans we know. One of the goals for "Connecting With Classics" is listener participation. We will be hosting prize drawings for a poster of the Connecting With Classics movie of their choice plus podcast swag and more at the end of each calendar year. Minisode 48: Eighth Grade
21/07/2018 Duração: 54minAaron and Don from Every Movie Has a Lesson get together for a chat about rookie director Bo Burnham’s new feature film Eighth Grade. The film is currently generating a lot of buzz and most everyone who has seen this darling indie has loved it - us included. The film stars Elsie Fisher as thirteen-year-old Kayla and follows her as she endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence while making her way through the last week of middle school -- the end of her thus far disastrous eighth-grade year. Director/Writer Bo Burnham is most known for his comedy so humor was definitely a big part of the film, but it has an amazing amount of heart and life lessons (Don’s favorite) for us to discuss, as well. 01/07/2018 Duração: 01h32minHappy 4th of July! To celebrate this patriotic American holiday, we are finally getting around to discussing the beloved sci-fi adventure film, Independence Day. Josh from LSG Media's Science Fiction Film Podcast joins us to as we try to figure out why so many love the cheesy nature of this film, but reject similar dialogue and plots in other movies.
