Season 7 Episode 3 - This is the Hour
20/04/2023 Duração: 37minToday we’re going to keep leaning into the posture and perspective that God’s presence has always been His ultimate plan for His people, that we might flourish and even cause the world around us to flourish too! Shifting our gaze towards Him each day is vital for our growth and it remains one of the easiest things possible for the human race! Today I’ll also share some insights around the Overture—a song that is very dear to me—that opens my new album “This is the Hour”, available everywhere you listen to music! I hope you’ll join me. Season 7 Episode 2 - Evermore
13/04/2023 Duração: 39minNew Episode Today!! Today we’ll come around these intriguing questions: What if His presence is really His plan for us? And, what if His will for our lives is simply to walk with Him and treasure His “withness” with us more than anything? The longer I live, the more I’m convinced that the mundane really is the platform that God uses to refine us and grow us…to even shape our lives for longevity! Our part in it is learning to be aware of His presence and being willing to consistently meet with Him in the rhythm of our ordinary days. I know for me, it’s easy to allow the thing I’m building FOR Him to blind me from truly just seeing Him. I’m also going to share a song with you today called “Evermore” that comes around this beautiful theme of His presence being what He values most on our behalf! 06/04/2023 Duração: 31minY’all, it’s back. I’M BACK! I’m so excited to relaunch The Glorious in the Mundane podcast this week! You probably guessed that I’m going to be coming around my new album called “This is the Hour,” available everywhere you listen to music! I’m not coming around these songs just for the song’s sake—I just believe that God has shown me so much in the past few years of writing and recording these songs and I’m excited to tell the stories and to testify of God’s faithfulness once again and to encourage you that your “ordinary” is a place where God wants to meet with you and shape you into who He’s always known you to be! Come Magnify Mini Series // Postured for His Presence
03/11/2022 Duração: 43minToday we’re going to come around some simple practices— heart postures if you will—that help lead us to unbroken union with God. These postures have helped me to go deep with the Lord even when I’m on the go or only have a limited amount of quiet time. I’ve heard it said, mission is not sustainable without union with God. Whatever it is that we’re putting our hearts and hands to—it ultimately won’t last unless we cultivate a real and lasting relationship with God. One where we actually converse with Him and ask Him to show us where He is working in our lives and we, in turn, act in obedience. I hope you’ll join me as we go “further up and farther in” together! Come Magnify Mini Series // Home
20/10/2022 Duração: 44minNEW PODCAST TODAY!! Today I’m going to introduce a NEW SONG that is hands-down my favorite song that God has stirred in me yet. It’s that precious to me! Even days after writing it, I was sharing it but that’s mostly because of the encounter that I had with God on my front porch one evening. The song stands as a vivid reminder of not only that moment but of what I truly believe God desires for His people in this hour: That we would come HOME to His heart. Fully and completely. In John 14, Jesus was asked, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” In verse 23 Jesus answered saying, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” Not only do I believe it’s possible for God to be our truest home this side of heaven, I believe it’s his plan for us. This is the brightest hope of our Gospel story…that we are reconciled to the Father’s arms in the here and now, because of Jesus! I’m tagging those of you

Psalms for Summer’s End - Psalm 91
21/09/2022 Duração: 40minSURPRISE!! BRAND NEW EPISODE TODAY! I decided to jump in and end our Psalms for Summer’s End series in REAL TIME and to say “HAPPY FIRST WEEK OF FALL, Y’ALL!” Today you’ll get an exciting update on the MUSIC and the PODCAST series that’s coming your way this fall! We’ll also come around Psalm 91 together, which is a very tender Psalm for me, as we prayed it over our son, Noah, even before he was born! You’ll even get to hear about the “Rite of Passage” ceremony we held for Noah when he turned 13 and how we’re still seeing the themes threaded through his life from that time! Most importantly, we’ll remember the strong refuge that is our Almighty God! There is protection and provision for those who take refuge in Him! Psalms for Summer’s End - Psalm 27
14/09/2022 Duração: 37minThis Psalm is so near and dear to my heart! In fact, Nathan and I wrote a song based around this Psalm when we were still just dating. David models for us in this passage what it looks like to take refuge in God and let Him hide us and heal us but he’s also showing us something so important to pursue during seasons of hardship! I think there are so many ways that we can respond in painful seasons. There’s always plenty to complain about, lots of drama to post on social media and tons of ways that we can focus on ourselves as we’re trying to figure out what’s going to happen next! Thankfully, we have the Word of God over us today! It offers us LIFE and along with that life it offers us actual HELP in times of trouble. Thank You, Jesus! I love that David shows us HOW to actively wait on God and how to not waste the hardship! He models what to go after and what to be about and focus on when we don’t know what else to do! This passage is pure gold! I’ll talk to you soon!-ChristyListen "Captivate Us"List

Psalms for Summer’s End - Psalm 1
07/09/2022 Duração: 40minI pray that these Psalms for Summer’s End have caused you to slow down and remember who and Whose you are in an otherwise very busy season! Today we’re in Psalm 1 , which has always connected me to Jeremiah 17, a passage that God used several years ago to pretty much break my heart open! I share about that pruning moment as we look at why these two “trees planted by streams of water” passages are so sharply contrasted with rooting our identity in anything or anyone else besides God! We’re also going to remember together what God values most for us as His people. My prayer is that this message will keep our hearts tender in loving and desiring what God desires and values on our behalf! I’ll talk to you soon!-ChristyListen "Captivate Us"Listen to 'This is the Hour'Follow Christy on Socials: WebsiteFacebook Twitter Instagram TikTok

Psalms For Summer's End - Psalm 8
31/08/2022 Duração: 46minWelcome back to the Psalms for Summer’s End podcast series! These episodes are some of my personal favorites that were previously released to my patron audience only and now we’re making them available to YOU! I hope that as we all anticipate the turning of the season that these truths will encourage and strengthen us along the way!Today you’ll hear all about our family’s FIRST trip to Lost Valley Ranch, a place–as many of you know–that would become a refuge for our family these past five years! It was when the Lord awakened us once again to wonder. Who-even-knew how a lope through a creek, on a horse, could change my life forever! We’ll be in Psalm 8 together today remembering the majesty and mindfulness of God in the way that He made us and blessed us at Creation! Looking to His Word together has a way of clearing our view like nothing else can. Even when we can’t see the full picture, we can see Jesus and the love of God in sending Him to us! Psalms For Summer's End - Psalm 90
24/08/2022 Duração: 42minWelcome back to the Psalms for Summer’s End podcast series! These near and dear podcast episodes were previously released to my patron audience only and now we’re making them available to YOU! These were recorded a few years back but God’s Word is living and active, so I hope that they meet you right where you are with the peace that only God can give!Today we’ll dive into a not-so-obvious Psalm that’s one of those that you love at the beginning but you have no idea what to do with the middle and then “yay!” the ending is back to the fun stuff! Following the circle of lament, we’ll learn to wrestle with that weighty stuff in the middle–that our lives are basically a vapor–here today, gone tomorrow. But, there’s HOPE in holding the tension that we can actually build something that long outlasts us, as we make the most of our own “once upon a time until kingdom come”.Listen "Captivate Us"Listen to 'This is the Hour'Follow Christy on Socials: WebsiteFacebook Twitter Instagram TikTok

Psalms for Summer's End - Psalm 23
17/08/2022 Duração: 41minThe world, with all its chaos and charm sets a trap. But Jesus…he sets a table. SURPRISE! I’m so excited to release this series of podcasts that have been so near and dear to my heart! These were originally created for my podcast patrons only and haven’t been released to the public until now! I called the series, “Summer in the Psalms” but since we’re nearing the golden hour of the summer of ‘22, I think we can receive them as “Psalms for Summer’s End.” (Makes me exhale just saying it!) Keep in mind that these podcasts are from a few summers ago! That means you’ll hear me talking about Noah’s 18th birthday, Annie’s 11th, and that Ellie was just 15! Can we all just stop and have a big ole cry over that? This summer they are 22, 15 and 19 going on 20. Time flies y’all. All the more reason to sit in the Psalms together as summer ends. In today’s episode we’ll talk a little bit about sheep (hello, us!) and how we have a perfect Shepherd who knows our every need. He is skillful in caring for his own and when we

Season 5 Episode 15 // Always Remember to Never Forget
09/06/2021 Duração: 50minThis was a little bit of an emotional process for me in getting this episode into your hands! Today we will come around the very last chapter in my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live from a Heart of Rest. The chapter we’ll look at is “Always Remember to Never Forget.” Whether you’ve heard my song titled this or read this chapter, I think today’s episode on this still stands alone! I think there’s no better time to remember together what I call “The Seven Wonders of the Beloved” in this chapter, which are the who, whose, when, where, how, what and why of our lives. These are prodding answers in the form of questions that help us remember who and whose we are so that we can stand faithfully in our “when”—knowing full-well “where” we are in Christ—so that we can be about the how, what and why or our day and our lives! I’ll be signing off for the summer with this episode. I hope it finds you holding fast to JESUS in these days. Much love and I’ll talk to you soon!-ChristyListen "Captivate Us&qu

Season 5 Episode 14 // The Power of Small
21/05/2021 Duração: 57minI’m welcoming back my lovely friend @magenleighroberson as my co-host today as we come around what is shamelessly my FAVORITE chapter in my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live From a Heart of Rest. It’s called “The Power of Small” and what makes the small so powerful is that we serve a God of multiplication! And, I wonder if in these days when things still don’t look like they use to, if we are being invited to experience His multiplication in a way we never thought possible....to learn to trust Him in a new way with what we’ve been given, even when it seems hidden and small. I hope you are SO encouraged today, right where you are! Season 5 Episode 13 // The Heart of a Mother
06/05/2021 Duração: 35minToday we will pause from our regular podcast series to come around the beauty of the heart of a mother. Wherever you are in your journey, if you are a woman, you can carry a mother’s heart! You don’t have to be a mother physically to carry a mother’s heart spiritually! I pray that today you are reminded that you have a Father who delights in you and loves you and longs to FILL you with everything you need in order that you might freely give away what you’ve received! More than ever, this world needs mothers! May we allow a naming, nurturing and navigating heart to be formed and quickened in us in these days! Season 5 Episode 12 // Everything is Mine in You
28/04/2021 Duração: 54minNEW PODCAST TODAY! I had THE most beautiful time getting to catch up with the lovely @ellieholcomb today on the podcast! As you know I’ve been inviting friends and family to “co-host” with me during this season as a way of celebrating my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live From a Heart of Rest. Today we jump into one of my FAVORITE chapters in the book called “Everything is Mine in You” named after a song that Ellie and I wrote together the day we first met! It comes around the truth of 1 Corinthians 3 where Paul urges us to not boast in human leaders because “All things are ours in Christ!” What a truth to declare, even when we stand and ponder circumstances that seem impossible to overcome! We can thank Jesus today, that in Him, everything is ours today. Not earthly things, but Kingdom promises! You are going to LOVE hearing from the beloved Ellie Holcomb as we also talk about what’s going on in her world, including her new (gorgeous) song CANYON which is out now!! Season 5 Episode 11 // Heart Like a Honeycomb
21/04/2021 Duração: 59minNEW PODCAST TODAY! My lovely co-host is the one and only @ginnyowensofficial and I’m so excited for you to get to hear from her heart and her life! We got to reminisce about our days of getting to tour together (over 20 years ago now!) and how grateful we are to still be friends after all this time! This week we are coming around the chapter called “Heart Like a Honeycomb” in my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live From a Heart of Rest. We will talk about the pursuit of REST in the middle of this restless world that we find ourselves in! Ginny was born with very poor eyesight and by the time she was three years old, she was completely blind. Ginny has AMAZED me for years—not just because of her Spidey-like-senses and her ability to put her make up on in the dark!—but because of her surrendered heart toward Jesus, no matter what. Today we get to come around HER new book called Singing in the Dark: Finding Hope in the Songs of Scripture. I’ve READ IT and I LOVE IT and even got to write the foreword
