This Sunday, we have our final "DTR" talk as we continue our discussion on what kind of relationship God calls us to. Is it exclusive? Are we just friends? And where is this whole thing going? In our conclusion, we look at how correctly understanding that relationship practically impacts our lives. Think about it for a moment - our culture is so focused on safety and security. We eat right, play safe, invest for the long term, all in an effort to allay our fears about tomorrow. Do you ever wonder how much of life you are missing out on by playing it safe all the time? What if you could live boldly and fearlessly? What is the key to confident living? It's all in how you relate to God. A life with no fear really is possible.

Take a moment, if you will, and ask yourself a very profound question: What is it that you value the most in your life? Is it your kids? That seems to be the preeminent value in our culture. How about your spouse? We know we should, but sometimes we struggle there. Could it be your reputation or your legacy? I mean, we all want to be loved and respected. So, what is it? This week in our "DTR" talks, we focus on the one true relational posture we are called to have with God. If we are not called to live under/over/from/for Him - what then? This week, we discover the one true treasure, the one and only way you were created to live and function and finally find every bit of purpose and pleasure you have been looking for. This week we look at Life WITH God.

All religions may not lead to the same place, but they are all born out of the same emotions. Over the millennia, man - because he is subject to forces over which he has no power (including his own mortality) - has invented postures for relating to an invented God which would provide him control. If we can control the seemingly random forces of life, then we can allay our deep-seated fears. Yet, these invented and counterfeit postures, or relationships with God, only lead us down paths fo greater fear and, ultimately, great disappointment. This Sunday, we look at how we have incorrectly defined our relationship with God and the damage it has done to us, and we look ahead to what a "With God" life looks like.
