Playing gigs around LA and Vegas, Ann-Margret’s undeniable talent was noticed and she was soon a part of comedy legend George Burns’ show. From there Ann-Margret went onto films, getting her breakthrough role as groupie teen Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie – a musical parody based on Elvis being drafted in the Army. This week we bring you the incredible story of Viv Albertine which begins with the birth of punk rock in England. As a fashion student at the Chelsea School of Art she began dating Mick Jones (who would shortly form his band The Clash) and made friends with Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood. When McLaren invited her out to see The Sex Pistols perform, Viv’s life would change forever. Dreaming of a music career since she was a child, she now saw in punk rock a bridge to her dream. Viv got a guitar and formed a band with her new best friend Sid Ritchie (you may know him as Sid Vicious) and began creating her own unique sound. When Sid left to join The Sex Pistols, Viv found her place in the kick ass all girl punk band The Slits. They would go on to record 2 albums and tour with punk icons such as The Buzzcocks, The Clash and Subway Sect. This week's episode: Jo Wood (It's Only Rock and Roll- 30 Years Married to a Rolling Stone) is now up on our website and iTunes!! When Jo Wood Official met Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood at a party in 1977 she thought he was ridiculous and snubbed him. For Ronnie however it “was love at first sight, the absolute”. He set out to find her, redeemed himself after their hilarious first encounter (You gotta listen to find out why!) and in no time at all the pair were absolutely smitten. It wasn’t long after that Ronnie and Jo began their life together in sunny LA. The Stones were about to tour their latest album “Some Girls” and Jo, pregnant with their first child tagged along, the first of many tours to come. “I positioned myself half hidden behind an amp and the adrenalin rush was better than the hit of any drug”. The pair would have 2 children, as well as each having a son from their previous spouses. On their 7 year anniversary Ronnie would pop the question and he and Jo were married in 1985. Throughout t
