John Gaver is a busy man. Thanks to redistricting in the state of Texas, John has convenient access to candidates in two different Texas Congressional districts, two and eight. FAIRtax Guy Bob Scarborough recently spoke with the latest candidate in district eight to sign the FAIRtax candidate pledge, former Navy JAG Jonathan Hullihan.Hullihan is part of a large field of candidates running for the open seat created by Kevin Brady’s retirement. In his interview with Scarborough, he explains how the FAIRtax blends in perfectly with his overall campaign message.

The FAIRtax Guys begin this episode by going where no congress.gov segment has gone before. It’s an astonishing look at exactly why the current tax code is over 75,000 pages of incomprehensible gobbledygook that no one can understand.Then, the Guys expose one of the IRS’s dirty little secrets. With illegal income tax evasion costing the government nearly a trillion dollars a year, you’d think the IRS would be going after wealthy taxpayers who are cheating the government out of millions. But there’s a problem. These big cats can afford to hire the best and most powerful professionals to help them in their quest to keep more of their money. So instead, the IRS often turns its wrath on little guys who can’t afford to fight back. That’s just another reason we need to enact the FAIRtax and put the IRS out of business.

Congressman Mo Brooks from Alabama is a well-known figure in American politics. He is also a very strong FAIRtax supporter having been a cosponsor of HR-25 from the very beginning of his tenure in the US House of Representatives. Congressman Brooks is running for the US Senate in 2022. He was the first, and so far, the only Senate candidate to sign the FAIRtax candidate pledge in this election cycle. FAIRtax Guy Bob Paxton recently spoke with him on a variety of topics. In that conversation, his message was loud and clear—FAIRtax supporters need to do a better job electing candidates who will replace the income tax with the FAIRtax.

In this special extended edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, CPA and AFFT board member Jade Walle presents the first Walle’s FAIRtax World of 2022. When discussing alternatives to the Federal income tax, many people will say the answer is either the FAIRtax or a flat tax as if they were practically one in the same and functionally interchangeable.In this Walle’s World, Jade explains in great detail the many and substantial differences between the FAIRtax and the flat tax proposed in HR-1040. Last week the FAIRtax Guys found an unbelievable piece of insanity on page 76 of IRS Publication 17. That’s the document intended to give individuals all the information they need to know in order to fill out their 2021 Federal tax returns. So, thinking that there must be more gold buried in those 140 pages, the Guys continued digging and found this little gem—The Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights.On page 125, the IRS lists ten “rights” that taxpayers supposedly have in their dealings with the agency. Join Bob and Bob as they go through the list comparing what’s on paper vs. what dealing with the IRS is really like in the real world. It’s an eye-opening experience and further proof that the only way to fix the tax code is to pull it all out and replace it with the FAIRtax.

In this milestone episode of FAIRtax Power Radio, we take our first look at congress.gov for 2022. As usual, what some of the Congress Critters want to put in the tax code make the best arguments for pulling the whole thing out by the roots and replacing it with the FAIRtax.Then, the Guys dig into something truly unbelievable—IRS Publication 17. It started with a meme on social media purporting to be an excerpt from an official IRS publication. The idea is so preposterous everyone thought it was fake, but it’s not. It’s real. And it’s proof positive that the United States has the most insane, most illogical and most unenforceable tax code anywhere on the planet.

He will be an active FAIRtax advocate.
