Sinopse
Silver and Gold Podcast is devoted to the first run of Booster Gold (1986 1988) and the first DC Comcs run of Captain Atom (1987 1991). Hosted by Roy "Charlemagne" Cleary and FKAjason, each episode focuses on one issue of Booster Gold and one issue of Captain Atom. Also, Jay and his son Vance occasionally produce a special Charlton Comics Throwback episode in which they review an old Charlton Comics Captain Atom adventure from the 1960s along with another random Charlton comic. Also on this feed you will find Roy's spin-off podcast, DC v Marvel. In this show, Roy pits a randomly-selected character from the DC Universe against a randomly-selcted character from the Marvel Universe and determines who would win in a fight to the death. Each episode features a guest analyst. This feed is also the home of Jay's mini-series Wild Pod: A Wild Dog Podcast. In this show Jay reviews Max Allan Collins and Terry Beatty's 1987 mini-series Wild Dog and the character's subsequent appearances in DC Comics. Also found here is Tim and Jay's Beetlemania! Podcast, celebrating the legacy of the Blue Beetle. These are comic book review shows that are different from other comic book review shows because we have absolutely no idea what we are doing.

Silver and Gold 28: JLMay Part IX
19/05/2017 Duração: 38minHere's a head-scratcher. The Justice maxi-series by Jim Krueger, Alex Ross, Doug Braithwaite, Todd Klein, and Joey Cavalieri did not feature Booster Gold or Captain Atom. So why are we reviewing issue nine? Because this podcasting community is freaking awesome! The JLMay event organizers found a back-door way to include Jay and Roy.This crossover began with Fire & Water #193, then continued into Super Mates #70, The Idol-Head of Diabolu #30, Views from the Longbox #263, Pulp 2 Pixel, The LanternCast, and Shazamcast before landing here at Silver & Gold Podcast. We do our best with this comic before passing the torch on to Power of Fishnets, Waiting for Doom, and Justice's First Dawn. Fingers crossed that we'll be back for JLMay 2018!
