On the eve of what was to be a highly-scripted visit by President Biden to Israel and Jordan, an apparent bombing of a hospital in Gaza tore the plan to shreds as anger at Israel and the US exploded in the region. The Arab leaders he was scheduled to meet in Jordan all bailed out of the summit, leaving just Biden and Netanyahu in an awkward embrace. Also today, Rep. McCaul to authorize US force against Lebanon? Biden to demand another $100 billion for Israel and Ukraine.

Media is reporting that President Biden is about to deploy some 2,000 US troops to the Gaza region in response to the recent unrest between Israel and Hamas. An additional 2,000 Marines are reported to join them and an additional 10,000 troops may be deployed in the two US Carrier Strike Groups that the US has sent to Israel's coast. Is Biden sneaking the US into a massive Middle East war?

President Biden sat through a series of softball questions on 60 Minutes last night in which he assured America that the proxy war in Ukraine and in Israel was "no problem" for us because "we are America, for God's sake." Will Americans agree that billions more are needed to be poured into what is now a two-front war? Also today, Switzerland looks to return to Neutrality.

The purpose of the U.S. military is to defend America, and not to perpetually intervene in conflicts around the world. Never-ending wars have bankrupted many nations throughout history. We should not pretend that we are immune from such an outcome. Endless wars need endless money. The Fed's printing press must counterfeit dollars to pay for them. Rampant inflation has also bankrupted many nations. Wars and inflation are the destroyers of nations.

How does Washington deal with sagging Republican support for more money to Ukraine? Put Ukraine aid together with Israel aid! And slap a few billion for Taiwan while you're at it! It's only our money. Also today: US interventionism fueled the bloody mess in the Middle East. But for the neocons only more interventionism can solve it.

Four days after the dramatic assault by Hamas forces on Israel, it appears Tel Aviv is about to send ground forces into an urban warfare situation. Neocons at home are urging a US attack on Iran. One and maybe two US carrier groups are in or approaching the region. War propaganda is blasting full force. Even as the brutal attacks on Israel by Hamas fighters were taking place, US neocons saw a crisis they could not bear to see go to waste. After US weapons in the hands of Hamas fighters have surfaced on several videos, questions are being asked about how they got there. Were they shipped from Afghanistan, where the US left tons of military equipment in its hasty departure? Were they sold to Hamas by corrupt officials in Ukraine? Also today: Wall Street Journal tries to nudge a war with Iran in a highly sketchy piece claiming Tehran behind Hamas' attack.

America's major problems have been caused by both parties. Whether it be spending, debt, war, or covid, it has all been a joint effort. Despite all the campaign promises made by politicians of all stripes, the trend has always remained the same - government gets more intrusive and overbearing, while Americans lose their freedom and standard of living. If there really is a uniparty, who's in charge?

Politico has trotted out an "expert" on the Tea Party Movement to put forth the idea that the Tea Party was always ONLY about McCarthy, Paul Ryan, and Eric Cantor, and with the fall of McCarthy the movement is finally dead. What does Politico get wrong? Everything. Also today Ukraine "freaking out" over end to US gravy train.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan is the first to throw his hat in the ring to replace Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker, as Ukraine money laundromat supporters on both sides of the aisle have gone full panic mode. Will McCarthy's defenestration signal the end of "Project Ukraine" in the US Congress? Also today, UK "out of weapons" for Ukraine and global weapons stocks are in free-fall.

Rep. Matt Gaetz' motion to vacate the Chair of the House Speaker is scheduled for a vote today, with the outcome for Speaker McCarthy uncertain. Leading Republicans such as Rep. Thomas Massie have criticized the move. Will it backfire? Also today: Trump on the dock as his lead increases. Finally: 'Leaked' report shows level of DC concern over Ukraine corruption.

Pro-war Democrats and Republicans in desperation pulled Ukraine money from the weekend bill to keep the government open. Backroom deals suggest Ukraine would be brought up as a straight vote on the Floor, where it might pass. But the road to more money is not as smooth as establishment politicians would like. We can't say that nothing is manufactured in America. The U.S. government and the Federal Reserve are a tag-team that constantly manufacture problems for Americans. They both quickly turn around and claim they'll fix the problems that they created. But their "fixes" just end up creating new and even bigger problems! Ultimately, the problems become so numerous and so complex that the time finally comes to throw in the towel. The story of big government and central banking is always the same; massive arrogance followed by a humbling return to economic reality.

While each side is jockeying for position in political points, the fact remains that one of the main factors precipitating the coming government shutdown is the insistence by both parties to continue sending money we do not have to a losing war in Ukraine. Also today: McConnell claims sending more money to Ukraine is the "number one priority right now for the United States." Really?
