According to Politico, Speaker Kevin McCarthy has backtracked on his promise to Marjorie Taylor-Greene and other conservatives to keep the Ukraine money out of the "must-pass" defense bill. On the positive side, most Americans are not buying it this time. The word "NO" is a very popular word, and it needs to stay that way.

Yesterday, Ukraine hit targets in Crimea, damaging or destroying one kilo-class Russian sub and one landing ship. The missiles used were StormShadows from the UK and the targeting was from the US Pentagon. How soon until Russia strikes back at increasingly direct NATO/US involvement in the war? Also today: too little too late - the Pentagon suddenly develops an interest in where the money to Ukraine is going. Finally - Agent Orange 2.0? Speaker McCarthy finally bowed to pressure and, likely against his preference, launched an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Already House conservatives like Matt Gaetz are warning that Republican hands will be cuffed. What should we expect from the process? Truth? In a rare successful deal with Iran, the Biden Administration secured the release of five US citizens held in Iranian prisons in exchange for the release of $6 billion in Iranian assets seized by the United States. It has been 22 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon. The attacks launched the "global war on terror" that the neocons had been itching for. Media propaganda solidified the lie that "they attacked us because we are rich and free." And to this day there has been no national discussion as to why 9/11 happened and how we can prevent the next one. Also today: blockbuster new JFK assassination revelations and Californians are getting sticker shock on move toward reparations.

New York City Mayor Adams has gone from saying that the city would remain a "sanctuary" for migrants, to the migrant crisis is destroying New York City. Illegal immigrants for thee, but not for me?

The "vaccine" irrationality has reached comical levels. Jill Biden, who has had multiple "vaccines" and "boosters" has Covid once again. At the same time, it's been reported that the FDA is set to approve yet another "booster." To top it all off, the White House Press Secretary says "we know that these vaccines work." Who's buying any of this?

The attachment to the ideas of Liberty were so strong at America's founding, that its enemies knew it would take centuries to reverse. Authoritarians are extremely patient. Decade-after-decade, freedom is stripped away. Each generation is acclimated into being less free; never knowing the liberties that their ancestors once enjoyed. It can all be reversed, of course. Americans can always experience a renaissance of Liberty, if they want it bad enough.

When two people voluntarily agree to exchange, there's no such thing as "price gouging." It's just simply the "price." However, what tends to happen (especially during emergencies) is that buyers are not happy with the emergency "price," so they call for government to threaten (or use) force against the seller. Buyers want government to ensure them the non-emergency price, which of course, leads to shortages. Ironically, the greatest "price gouger" in society is the government itself.
