  • Lane County Commissioners earn $140,000 a year

    06/04/2022 Duração: 01h00s

LIVE WEDNESDAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Lane County Commissioners earn $140,000 a year in pay and benefits. Dawn Lesley, Joe Berney and Heather Buch all voted to give them a raise. I will go over just how we are well compensated and how ridiculous and self-serving it is to think we need more. We will also talk about arbitrage and how our Board is considering gambling with taxpayer’s money. We can also talk about elected versus appointed Boards overseeing tax money and also mixing the missions of federal agencies and using Medicaid money for housing. The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show online (just click the picture below) or on your phone by calling 646-721-9887. Just press "1" if you want to join the conversation. If you can't make the live show and you have a question or comment the Jay Bozievich, send him an e-mail at talk@KRBNradio.net. • Victoria Doyle running for Springfield City Council

    30/03/2022 Duração: 01h01min

LIVE WEDNESDAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! My Guest will be Victoria Doyle who is running for Springfield City Council Ward 5. We will find out who Vicky is and why she wants to serve the people of Springfield. We also just might have a conversation about round-a-bouts and Main Street. If we go off-topic and start talking about dogs then you will have to understand we both have a few and like each other's dog posts on Facebook. We can also talk about Dawn, Heather, and Joe voting to increase the pay for Lane County Commissioners that already make well over $100,000 in salary and benefits. Hopefully by Wednesday people will stop talking about a live broadcast of an assault on a millionaire by another millionaire. I predict that their lawyers will get rich in the aftermath. We can also talk about anything else on your mind, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show online (just click the picture below) or on your phone by callin

  • Is it okay to appoint a known liar to a public office?

    16/03/2022 Duração: 01h00s

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Dawn Lesley lied, Heather Buch and Joe Berney still voted to put her on the budget committee. Heather and Joe had an opportunity to reconsider appointing a known liar to our budget committee yesterday, but they refused. It is bad enough to have someone who lied about her vote to raise Commissioner's pay as a budget committee member return to the budget committee but how about having Lane County Commissioners like Joe and Heather that are okay appointing someone without integrity? What else are they okay to just let go? (By the way, Heather and Joe also voted for that pay increase.) Eugene is "moving ahead" with making our roads more congested and the liberal elites think the answer to high gas prices is for the working poor to buy a $60,000 electric vehicle. So much to talk about, so little time. We can also talk about anything else on your mind, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show

  • What does Gas prices, Putin and local politicians have in common?

    10/03/2022 Duração: 01h00s

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Dawn Lesley lied, Heather Buch and Joe Berney still voted to put her on the budget committee. With gas prices going crazy and Putin's imperialism killing Ukrainians, why does the integrity of local politicians matter? President Biden began his political career as a County Commissioner in Delaware. His political party ignored blatant plagiarism, unwanted touching, and his family members questionable business dealings with countries that are national security risks because it was all about moving the agenda ahead and damn integrity. Who knows what the former head of the KGB might have over someone with that kind of character? So, the fact that Dawn Lesley would outright lie about a vote she took as a budget committee member and that Heather Buch and Joe Berney would ignore that and still re-appoint her to the same budget committee is that same political calculus that puts party and agenda before integrity. It leads to elected officials claiming success by m

  • Gas Prices and (un)State of the Union Address

    03/03/2022 Duração: 59min

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Wow, what a week! Sooo much to talk about that happened since the last show. Russia invaded Ukraine. The President muddled through reading a State of the Union speech and expressed some desired outcomes that the policies he proposed to get them will do the exact opposite. Like his desire for more manufacturing in the US while proposing to increase corporate tax rates. The legislature wants legal working residents to foot the bill for lawyers for illegal aliens charged with felonies to help keep them from being deported. Gas prices are going up and Pacific Power just put in for an almost 10% rate increase while the local greenies are pushing to ban natural gas. After voting to recommend pay increases for the Commissioners, both Dawn Lesley and Joe Berney deny supporting pay increases for Commissioners. Do they not know the vote was streamed video that is available to the public to watch anytime? We can also talk about anything else on you mind, just give u

  • Ryan Ceniga running to be the West lane County Commissioner is our guest today

    24/02/2022 Duração: 01h01min

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! I will begin the show with Ryan Ceniga. Ryan has a couple of stories to share about his "visit" to Mapleton and his work to solve a problem for Junction City schools. Ryan may be running to be the West lane County Commissioner but in the meantime, he is helping the residents of Mapleton to have safe drinking water and providing new field lighting for athletes in JC at no charge to the taxpayers. In other news I was happy to see that the Joe Berney campaign and the Lane County Tribune decided to be transparent and report the in-kind contributions that were going on. The legislature is in session and Ukraine and Russia are bringing instability to world energy markets and threatening a wider conflict. We can also talk about anything else on you mind, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show online (just click the picture below) or on your phone by calling 646-721-9887. Just press "1" if you

  • Proposed 3% Oregon sales tax is just one of many

    10/02/2022 Duração: 59min

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. (1) The Oregon Freedom Pilot Program is established in the Department of Human Services. The purpose of the program is to assist low-income Oregonians to live in dignity by providing monthly payments of $750, using a special debit card, to adults participating in the program. (5) Payments from the Oregon Freedom Pilot Program do not count as income for any state-funded need-based benefits or assistance. News services are saying that "The money collected would be given out to low-income pregnant women and adults who have aged out of the foster youth program." this if false and according to HB 4079 does not mention pregnant women. "Relating to programs to aid low-income adults" "The $750 would come on a debit card and there are no restrictions on what that money can be spent on." UPDATE: 02/08/2022  Great news from Salem today. HB 4079, Oregon's first sales tax, will not move forward and is effectively dead. Due to strong opposition Chair A

  • Mask mandates and more

    03/02/2022 Duração: 59min

IVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Thanks to the efforts of the Association of O&C Counties, Lane County is going to add 8 people to our police services division of the Sheriff. This will make it so we can have one more deputy on duty for a total of four to cover a county of over 4,000 square miles. the Board also talked about funding for parks and is eyeing a property tax levy. I am more concerned about renewing the Jail Levy and having a deeper discussion of what we want to ask the taxpayers to fund rather than push for sustained yield harvest of the O&C lands. OHA is moving ahead with a permanent mask mandate for school kids despite all public testimony going against the rule and scientific evidence that masking kids is ineffective, unsafe, and doing long-term emotional harm. Meanwhile, the legislature is back in session and is looking to make it illegal for a cop to stop someone for a broken tail light. We can also talk about anything else on your mind, just give us a call! The

  • Should Lane County Commissioners Get a Raise?

    27/01/2022 Duração: 01h00s

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Our Board at least delayed our Climate Action Plan Phase two for a month or so, the plan includes limiting your choice on how you heat your home or cook because natural gas BAD! Dawn Lesley, the progressive New England transplant with a Eugene zip code that wants to be the rural West Lane Commissioner also supports limiting your choice of how you heat your home. The budget committee's recent attempt to recommend raises for Commissioners is getting statewide notice, an attempt Joe Berney, Heather Buch, and Dawn Lesley all voted in favor of doing. The state is now requiring poor rural citizens to pay for charging stations for rich Portland Tesla owners as an increase in their electric bills. The legislature is also proposing voting rights for convicted felons while still in prison. Meanwhile, the Board received testimony and documented evidence that our current voter registration roles may not be accurate. An initiative was also filed to increase the corpor

  • More news about Lane County

    20/01/2022 Duração: 01h02min

The Boze Noze Show Hosted by West Lane County Commissioner Jay Bozievich is live at every 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! No guest today and I am done with my year in review so let's talk about other things. Our Board will be considering our Climate Action Plan Phase two next week that includes supporting limiting your choice on how you heat your home or cook because natural gas BAD! Oh and the plan fails to take into account the Governors new Climate Protection Plan. The Lane Area Commission on Transportation heard a presentation on the plans to improve the safety of HWY 126 from Eugene to Veneta and the usual Eugene centric anti-car/climate activist are upset it widens the road. Robin is upset it plans for traffic circles. The budget committee also heard from our elected officials compensation board and Joe Berney, Heather Buch and Dawn Lesley all voted to provide a recommendation to give the Commissioners a raise, fortunately it failed to get the requi

  • After New Years Show

    06/01/2022 Duração: 01h08min

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! OMG Omicron! While some are running around like their hair is on fire, we finally get admissions from Dr. Fauci and OHA Director Patrick Allen that they have been counting people who entered the hospital for other reasons but then test positive for COVID as COVID patients. I will also try to finish my year in review as I only barely got to August last week, which means we still have closed door meetings on vaccine mandates, a failed attempt to fire an excellent County Counsel, and a redistricting debacle that came up again yesterday yet to review. We can also talk about anything else on you mind, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. • end of the year show

    30/12/2021 Duração: 01h01min

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! The year in review seems to come around faster. It has been another crazy COVID year from vaccine roll outs and shortages to mandates and self declared six month emergency extensions. A legislative session where the public was barred from the building to redistricting shenanigans at all levels. There are still over 100 people living in hotels that lost their housing in the Holiday Farm Fire back in 2020. Congress continued to spend money in the trillions and guess what, inflation hit record levels! I will be looking back over the year, but we can also talk about anything else on you mind, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. • "I will not seek re-election...."

    23/12/2021 Duração: 01h02min

LIVE TODAY! @ a 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! So, I made a little announcement yesterday that I will expand on a bit. Meanwhile, Gov. Karen returned from her maskless appearance at an indoor fundraising event to Oregon and stepped outside, saw Omicron's shadow, and declared six more months of emergency! Locally, our progressive Board leadership/majority can't read our Home Rule Charter and/or count backwards six months so we will have one more year of reasonable Commissioner districts before the gerrymandered version goes into effect. Can you say "redistricting fail?" We can also talk about what you want to talk about, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. LIVE TODAY! @ a 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! My guest will be Kyle Blain who has filed to run for the East Lane Commissioner seat. Kyle will tell us about his background, qualifications and why he is running to bring change to the Lane County Board of Commissioners. There may be some news about which district boundaries will be used for that election. If you have a question for Kyle or just want to take the conversation in another direction like baseball stadiums, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. • Mask mandates permanent?

    09/12/2021 Duração: 59min

LIVE TODAY! @ a 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! On Delta, on Lambda and Mu, now Omicron mask away, mask away all! As Oregon is writing permanent indoor mask mandates, Governor Karen was photographed maskless hugging and talking to people at an indoor fundraising event. I have supported masks as one layer in a multilayered approach to reducing transmissions but with the high vaccination and natural immunity rates do we really still need a mandate? Now that the Board has ignored public input and gerrymandered our Commissioner districts they are moving on to trying to raise your energy and food bills in phase two of the Climate Action Plan. the Board did get an exciting presentation on the possibility of building a mixed waste recycling facility at the Short Mountain landfill. This is an idea I can agree with environmentalist on because it makes good sense and does not need a government subsidy as it pays for itself over time with the value of recovered materials. We can also talk about what you want t

  • Independent Redistricting Committee

    02/12/2021 Duração: 01h01min

LIVE TODAY! @ a 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Redistricting is happening now in Lane County and you can weigh in at the virtual public hearing after the show @ 5:30. A paid political consultant was involved in preparing 2 of the 3 maps we are considering. Meanwhile the progressives on our Board cost the taxpayers an extra $150,000 to keep our head attorney around for another year. I will tell you how that same paid political consultant was also wrapped up in that debacle. In addition, the progressives tried to hide this debacle from the public. There is lots more in the news to talk about like digital vaccine passports. We can talk about what you want to talk about, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show online (just click the picture below) or on your phone by calling 646-721-9887. • Where's the science?

    25/11/2021 Duração: 01h00s

LIVE TODAY! @ a 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am grateful for many things. Gratitude and forgiving are two of the most powerful mental activities we can practice. With all the division and angst in society, we could all use practice in both including myself. So, I will let you know what makes me thankful, like not wearing a mask outdoors. Give me a call and let me know what you are thankful about this year. (oh, and there was a lot in the news to talk about if that is what you want to call about also.) The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show online (just click the picture below) or on your phone by calling 646-721-9887. Just press "1" if you want to join the conversation. • Crime and Happy Exploding Whale Day

    18/11/2021 Duração: 01h00s

LIVE TODAY! @ a 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Mapleton Schools remained closed while the community is drinking bottled water yet the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill will do little to fix the issues that led up to the emergency. The $100,000 bike theft here in Eugene is a microcosm of what is driving tourism away from Portland. Eugene did get $19 million to add more crazy eights to Franklin Blvd. So Governor, when can we take the masks off in Oregon? Redistricting, exploding whales and more to talk about. We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays.
