The Board also was presented the results of an audit of our public safety tax levy funds and held a work session on our ability to do more to abate the nuisances caused by Cannibis growing operations. One in three renters in Lane County are severely housing burdened because they spend more than 50% of their household income on housing. Last Thursday I held a telephone townhall about housing affordability and presented one possible solution of adding accessory dwelling units to rural residential properties to increase the supply of housing in Lane County.
