Hour 3: On Tuesday, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris spoke with members of the National Association of Black Journalists in Center City, Philadelphia. During the interview, one journalist asked Harris why joy is important to her campaign. PLUS, despite a second assassination attempt on Donald Trump over the weekend, prominent Democrats—including White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre—continue to refer to Trump as a threat to democracy.

Hour 2: The History of Presidential Assassination Attempts: There have been four presidents who have been assassinated while in office: Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy. Sadly, there have also been numerous attempts against sitting and former presidents—including Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, and Teddy Roosevelt. Interestingly, a would-be assassin’s gun misfired twice while attempting to kill Andrew Jackson—Jackson used a cane to beat the man.

Full Episode (09/16/2024): On Sunday, Secret Service spotted a 58-year-old man hidden inside the perimeter of Donald Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida—armed with an AK-47 rifle, scope, and ceramic plates likely used as protection from gunfire. According to initial reports, the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, had been hiding at Trump International Golf Club for 12-hours with the intent of assassinating the former president who golfed 300 yards away. Secret Service fired at Routh, though he managed to escape in a Nissan before ultimately being arrested a short time later. This is now the second assassination attempt against former president Trump in roughly two-months. Hour 3: Former Acting United States Attorney General Matthew Whitaker joins The Rich Zeoli Show and reacts to the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in roughly two months. Hour 2: While speaking with the press, Martin County, Florida Sheriff Will Snyder explained: "[The suspect] is not from this area, which raises the bigger question—how does a guy from not here get all the way to Trump International, realize that the…former president of the United States is golfing and is able to get a rifle in that vicinity? I think that's the question the FBI, the Secret Service are laser-focused on today. Is this guy part of a conspiracy?"

Hour 2: Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr.—Co-Chair of the Commission on Presidential Debate—called Tuesday night’s clash between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris the worst presidential debate he has ever seen. He noted that the moderators “bent backwards” to help Harris. Donald Trump has announced he won’t participate in a second debate with Kamala Harris.

Hour 1: Although debate moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis frequently fact-checked Donald Trump, they refused to do the same to Kamala Harris—so, The New York Post editorial board did it for them!
