What do we actually believe about the Bible?  What is our theology and doctrine about what the Bible is?  Take a few minutes to listen to what Andy shares with us in our Traditional Sermon.  

In our Traditional sermon, Andy walks us through Ephesians 2: 1-10 as we look at the historic Wesleyan understanding of what salvation looks like and means.

In our St. Matthew's 101 Series, we start with this first concept.  Who is God?  If we don't answer that question right, nothing else will matter.  

In our sermon from July 11, Andy looks at Mark 13: 24-36.  In this passage we see Jesus teach us about His return. What does this passage have to say to us today?

In our Traditional Service from June 13, 2021, Andy shares with us from Genesis 22: 1-19. What are we to make of a God who asks Abraham to sacrifice his son? What can we learn about this concept of testing within the Bible? What does this say to us today? 

Today we look again at Ephesians 6: 5-9.  In this passage, Paul tells us a simple truth, everything we do is for God's glory. Everything. No task is too great, or too small, that it is not to be done for God's glory.  All of our life is worship.  All of it.

In this passage today, we see Paul have words for us regarding slavery.  What are we to do with this?  How are we to interpret and understand passages such as these that deal with things like slavery?  Understanding the whole teaching of scripture is a great start. Today we look at Paul's teaching regarding parents and children. First, we see that children are to obey and honor their parents. What does that mean, especially as we grow older?  And what about if our parents aren't acting in ways that really deserve that honor and obedience.  We also see that Paul has a word for children. How are we to raise and discipline them in the Lord?
