  The First Generation is marked by growth. The Second Generation is marked by entrenchment. The Third Generation is marked by decline.   Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; Prov. 29:18   Worship brings revelation (heart knowledge) of... 1) God's hope (vision) 2) God's wealth (confidence) 3) God's power (confidence)   Key Question: What dreams fill your heart?

Don't Be That Person   Happiness comes from the outside (Circumstances)   Joy comes from the inside (God) 1) The conditional Grinch believes his circumstances will be perfect. Your heart grows when you conquer your circumstances for the cause of Jesus.   2) The analytical Grinch compares himself with others. Your heart grows as you are comfortable with yourself.   3) The passive Grinch concedes to other people's plans for their life. Your heart grows, as you remain confident in God's plan for your life.   4) The narcissist Grinch has confused priorities. Your grows as you put God first, and yourself last.   Remember the path of joy is always under construction.

  Is Your Money a Tool or a Drug?   Why place an emphasis on giving? Our God is a giving God   Key Understanding: Money is a tool, but it is also a drug.   Types of giving generosities: 1) Tithing Gernerosity Num. 18:21, Deut. 14:22, Deut. 14:26, Deut. 14:28-29 2) Firstfruits Generosity Deut. 26.2 3) Harvesting Generosity Lev. 19.9 4) Offerings Generosity Lev. 7:37 5) Sabbath Generosity Lev. 25:3-4

Stand Your Ground Ephesians 6:10-20 What How and Why What: Be Strong in the Lord 1) Spiritual Passivist: Believes the only way to live the Christian life is passive surrender 2) Pietist: Human righteousness is the only way to be strong 3) Scripture: Staying in the "Power of His Might" How: Put on the whole armor of God Why: We have to stand agianst the devil's strategies   We do not fight for victory but we fight from victory!  

Four types of Spiritual Sight: Spiritually blind:Unable to see Person: Judas             He didnt get to experience the resurrection Solution: Believe and be baptised Spiritually Nearsighted: The big picture gets blurry Person: Thomas He needed to be close to see Solution: Study God's Word Spirtually Farsighted: Things are blurry up close Person: Peter Hard time seeing when things got close Solution: Listen to God's Word through those who are close Spiritually Colorblind: Difficulty distinguishing between the natural and the spiritual Person: Mary She trusted in her five senses Solution: Ask for clarity and see Him

  Psalm 121   Key Understanding: We worry about the things we love. Key question: What do my fears say I love? Key problem: Worry chokes out life, because worry looks for control. Key Truth: God does not cushion us, He keeps us.

Key Understanding: Fear and Faith are both acquired. Fear reminds us of our limitations. Faith trusts in God's ability. Types of Fear Imaginative fear says, "What if I..." Irrational fear says, "How will I..." Rational Fear says, "I will..." But when I am afraid,  I will put my trust in You. Ps. 56:3 Communion combats fear by reminding us: By faith I am accepted. By faith I am secure. By faith I am significant.
