  • Episode 41: Jeremy Brockbank | With integrity, the ants go marching. Hoorah!

    02/11/2019 Duração: 41min

Today I sat down with Jeremy Brockbank, CEO of Ant Hill Retail. Considered one of the most influential players in US retail, he and his wife/business partner Jen, not only have built hundreds of brands but have also built the 'Fastest Growing' brand on the Inc 5000 and holds multiple 'Shark Tank' records. Jeremy has also consulted for Point 72 Private Equity (2016-2017) as well as was an Adjunct Business Professor at Utah Valley University (2015). While this is an impressive resumé of accomplishments, the real value in this conversation is talking about the how and why behind their successes and how absolute integrity is the key ingredient. #AnitHillRetail #Volcanic #AntHill --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/parrishthethought/message

My guest today is Josiah Roueche. 35 year-old married father of 4. In 2007, only ten weeks into his new marriage, while riding the train home from work in a Dallas suburb he befriended a man and struck up a casual conversation. Thinking nothing of it, he said goodbye and headed to his car at his designated stop. The next six hours would prove to be the most harrowing of his, what he thought would be, short life. Hang on to your seat because Hollywood can't write this stuff. #KidnappedByTrain #GangInitiation #Gangs #ThugLife --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/parrishthethought/message

  • Episode 35: Renee Parrish Coe | Four weddings and no cake!

    24/09/2019 Duração: 49min

Four weddings and no cake! My guest today is my sister Renee Coe. I asked her to come onto the show to share her life long addiction story. Renee has had a food addiction for the better part of 40 years. For years we nagged and poked her to find out what the reason was. For years she pushed me, her husband and children away continuing to bury the bottled up hurt, shame and anger in an attempt to make it go away. The reason for all this. Between the ages of 6 and 7 she was repeatedly abused at the hands of an older cousin. Feeling ashamed, dirty and helpless, she turned to food, the one thing she could control. She told no one until a short 4 years ago and has been on the recovery roller coaster since. Sit back, hang on and be inspired by her new determination to rise above this pattern of perpetual self destruction. Follow her story on the following social media platforms: Facebook and Instagram Give her a shout out and some encouragement. She is losing the weight and planning to never find it again. #4Weddin
