Andy Young joins #CCB for a look into the life of the voice behind the game of baseball.  Andy spent the better part of his "young" adult life traveling around the country announcing baseball games for professional organizations.  So many stories come out of this conversation that we have decided to have Andy back often for his own segment.  Mad Max's Minutes with Jason Maxwell,  Things that surprise John and some talk about a condom for airplanes????

Scott Shibles joins the boys for a chat about the life of a AD during a time when Deering High won 24 state championships in a 10 year span from the late 90's to early 00's.  Also, a new segment, Cyrously, with Glen Cyr.  Our most outspoken critic and president of Tim's fan club and vice president of the I Hate John fanclub.  Mad Max Minutes return in usual ridiculous fashion with Jason Maxwell.  Things that surprise John is ruined by Tim.

Greg Conley, former member of the San Diego organization and Deering High School gradaute, calls into the podcast to talk about his career as a professional baseball player and now parent of a professional player (his son Bryce Conley).  Also, fan of the week Nathaniel Lapoint (Stonehill College baseball player) calls in.  The Mad Max Minutes returns with Jason Maxwell.  A surprise call to and from Coach McDermot of the Buffalo Bills.  John breaks down the Things That Surprise Me.

CCB resident field hockey expert, Erin Chase, gives us official ruling on the controversal decision to stop play at a Division 1 field hockey competition to allow for the punctual start to a Division 1 football game.  Sportswriter Michael Hoffer lends his Maine High School Fall Sport Preview.   Congrats to the Hoff and his wife, Angi, on tying the knot this summer!!  Mad Max Minutes with Jason Maxwell and John showcases the Things That Surprise Him.  

John and Tim recap the summer's events.  Talk about the state of affairs at Deering High School.  John starts a new segment "Things That Surprise Me".  The ever popular Mad Max Minutes with Jason Maxwell.  The boys of fall are back. 

Podcast favorites Danica Gleason, now owner of Maine Hits in Scarborough Maine, and John Gleason host the Coaches Corner Booth.  Danica and John decided to buy Maine Hits from founder and longtime softball coach Bob Williamson this past spring.  One of Danica's first calls was to former professional baseball player and Maine native, Nic Lops.  Nic will oversee baseball operations while Danica does the rest.  Nic is a graduate of Cheverus High School in Portland and St. Joseph's College in Windham.  Along with his duties as baseball director at Maine Hits, Nic is currently an assistant coach at both of his alma maters.  This summer you can also find Nic coach third base at the Sanford Mainers games in the New England College Baseball League.  

Coaches Corner Booth gets a surprise caller.  Steve from Bonny Eagle somehow finds out the phone number for Coaches Corner Booth and has some stuff to say.  John finally calls in from the road.  Mad Max Minutes is back - a fan favorite.  Hutch, Tim and Jason debate whether or not golf is a sport.  

Karen Bailey, Kim Shaw, Lisa Farr and Fran Aceto, all members of the legendary two-time back-to-back World Series softball champion team from 1988 and 1989.  30 years after they won, the ladies talk about the impact that this experience had on them not only as kids, but as adults as well.  Listen to them share memories and a friendship that have lasted a long time.  Special guest, Ron Farr, longtime little league coach (and Lisa's dad) talks about the state of baseball/softball in the city of Portland and around the state compared to 50 years ago.  Also, Mad Max installs episode 2 of the "Mad Max Minute(s)" while Hutch and Tim crap on each other per the usual.  

Owner of Beyond Strength, Pete Clark,  and Falmouth Athletic Director/Varsity Softball Coach, James Coffey take the reigns on #coachescornerbooth with Tim and Mad Max.  Premier of the Mad Max Minutes, a review of the ridiculous things that happened in sports and life since our last podcast.  

Former UNH catcher, John Gleason, joins us for the third installment of his journey through life.  Former owner of Coastal Athletics and proud parent of three kids, John is one of the nicest, most easy-going guys around.  Great interview with a fascinating person.  Thanks John!

Coaches Corner Booth sits down with Portland High senior Zack Elowitch to talk about his outstanding year in sports.  Zack was a Fitzpatrick Trophy Finalist and All State wrestler this year and is heading to the New England Wrestling Championship this weekend as the #1 seed from Maine.  Sitting in on the podcast are Portland High wrestling coaches Tony Napolitano and David Elowitch (Zack's dad).   

On location at the Portland Radio Group, Coaches Corner Booth invites 2-time State Champion Coach, Dan LeGage, onto the podcast to talk about the 2019 High School Basketball Class A and AA tournament.  Special guest, Maine native and UNH baseball standout, John Gleason, joins the mix with John and Tim.  

Stan Skolfield of Skolfield Sports Performance takes time to talk about his journey to becoming one of Maine's top strength and conditioning coaches.  Originally from Scarborough, Maine, Stan was a standout diver at the University of Maine at Orono.  After serving our country in the military, Stan found his passion in the sports performance world.  Cutting his teeth working with the Boston Red Sox organization, Stan has worked his way to becoming one of the go-to guys for baseball pitchers in Southern Maine. Opening Skolfield Sports Performance in 2018, Stan is training some of the areas best athletes at Train Maine in Westbrook and OA in Saco.  Great guy with a wealth of knowledge!

Danica Gleason - South Portland native, Maine Gatorade Softball Player of the Year, D1 player at Tennessee State and current Bates College assistant softball coach.  Danica is as humble as she is talented.  She talks about her past coaches and teammates as well as her coaching career pathway.  

John takes heat from our good friend Glen Cyr, who is the voice of the Seawolves at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland Maine.  Glen runs down our first year of podcasting with a top 10 list of critiques for John and accolades for Tim.  Good yucks in this one with a great guy!

A couple great guys and successful Southern Maine Community College coaches join Glen Cyr and Tim of #coachescornerbooth at Madden's Pub and Grill to talk coaching at the community college level.  Matt wears several hats at SMCC including Athletic Director, Men's Basketball Coach and Asst. Dean.  Starting in 2003, Matt is a seasoned veteran of the college system who is still passionate about providing an equivalent D3 experience for his athletes.  Ethan Wells, Women's Soccer Coach, is starting his tenure as a head coach at the college level.  Last season, which was is first, he lead his team to birth in the national tournament while providing support to Matt's duties as the Asst Athletic Director.  An outstanding 1-2 punch for athletics at the collegiate level, these guys share their philosophies and opinions with the Coaches Corner Booth.

Ryan Hutchins, head coach of Deering's Wrestling team, finally goes from host to interviewee on #coachescornerbooth.  After turning a dwindling Westbrook program into a Eastern Maine Conference Champion, Hutch set his sites on his alma mater as his next challenge.  Known as an intelligent, intense coach around the conference, Hutch takes us back through his origin story.  He credits the influence of older wrestlers and former coaches.  He also talks about the positive effects that wrestling has had on him as an adult.  Eli Small (former Deering Wrestling Coach), Derek Webb (former Deering Soccer Coach) and Austin Payne (#coachescornerbooth soundman) show natural promise in their debuts as hosts.  

#coachescornerbooth looks back at the year 2018.  John, Tim and Andy Coulombe reflect on the good, bad and the birth of the Coaches Corner Booth.  

2-time state champion boys' basketball coach, Dan LeGage, talks about the influence of some of the great coaches he played for at Portland High and University of Maine at Farmington and the impact they had on his coaching style and pedagogy.  A member of the UMF Hall of Fame, Dan attributes his coaching success to building strong relationships with his players while setting high standards in order to maximize their ability.  An outstanding person and conversationalist!
