Beatnik Turtle's Encore Song Of The Day

Enough is enough.

Tom recorded the original guitar tracks to this song in 1988 and finally got around to finishing it up just last week - just in time for The Song Of The Day!

This version of What We've Got was recorded during an afternoon rehearsal and sound check before the show that we recorded for our live album. The original version appears on Beatnik Turtle's first album.

This song may or may not be based on actual events. Any connection to real persons, places, or 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salons is probably coincidental...

This motivational song is the closing track from our forthcoming album, ALL IN A DAY'S WORK. (The pre-release of the album is already available at iTunes, and the CD is due until October).

Most of this song was written and sequenced on various planes at cruising altitude between Chicago, San Diego, Boston, and Atlanta.

Apparently there are some musicians in the blues community who are, um, enthusiastic about playing a song exactly like it was played on the original recording. This song is dedicated to them. When we play this one live, Mr. Susala had better play it exactly like this recording - OR ELSE!

This song got its start as an instrumental, but ended up with the record for the most vocal tracks of all the Songs Of The Day.
