Declaration of Dependence
04/07/2022 Duração: 28minThe Fourth of July is a time to remember those who worked diligently on penning the Declaration of Independence and subsequently laid the foundation for the liberty and freedoms we have today. In our Christian faith, we have those that gave their wealth, health, and - at times - their lives to provide a foundation for our eternal freedom. We need to be the light of Christ to a world that is fearful and losing hope. We need to come together now and make a "declaration of dependence,” not a “declaration of independence.” Christ is the only hope for anyone and for any country! We must do whatever we can to bless America and others with the love of Christ! On this Fourth of July weekend, join me on Sunday as we lift up our eyes and praise God for the greatness and the blessings of living in America. Pastor Paul Berst

Casting Fire Upon the Earth, Part 2
27/06/2022 Duração: 43minIt was wonderful to be with you again last Sunday. I always consider it an amazing honor to bring the Word to you and watch your enthusiasm and love for Jesus grow. Thank you for the privilege! This week, we will finish Luke 12 and the discussion about Jesus' challenging and somewhat mysterious words regarding "casting fire upon the earth." I want to finish this portion of Jesus' dialogue and attempt to capture His reasoning in its fullness. Have you ever been tempted to procrastinate regarding spiritual things? I know I am often tempted to put things off. Can you imagine folks doing this at the risk of their eternal destinies? Jesus is going to shock us out of our comfort zones, but all for our own good.

Casting Fire Upon the Earth
20/06/2022 Duração: 44minI am excited to be back with you this Sunday! I would also like to thank Pastors Paul Berst and George Garza for working hard in their task of teaching and preaching. Paul's message last week was meaningful. God does, in fact, recycle the empty and the discarded. Watch here if you missed it. This week, we are going to be exploring a controversial statement Jesus made to His disciples about "casting fire upon the earth." What could this possibly mean? Was Jesus an anarchist? Is division ever good? How do we handle these enigmatic statements of the God/man?

Are We Willing To Be recycled?
17/06/2022 Duração: 31minPastor Paul Berst said, "When you are DOWN to nothing...... God is up to something!" As we live this life on earth, we experience joy and sadness, health and sickness, good times and bad times, success and failure. Are we willing to take our current “containers” and have the creator of the universe recycle us for His next purpose? In other words, throughout the stages of our lives, God wants us to recycle our attention, energy, and resources in particular areas to achieve what He has set before us. It may be a special need, purpose, or direction that we can only achieve because of our life experiences. In 2 Corinthians 4:7 Paul claims, “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” (NIV) Join me this Sunday as we recognize the treasure within us and answer the question, “Are we going to allow the potter to mold us (recycle us) into all that we were created to be?”

Inseparable
06/06/2022 Duração: 26minPastor Paul Berst explores a very important truth - a promise from God’s Word. If you can grasp the power of this promise, your life will never be the same again. In Romans 8:1 it reads, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” There are three questions I want you to think about. Do you believe it? Do you believe there is never a time when you will turn toward God and not find His arms extended, waiting for your return? Do you believe there will never be a time when you step out of the boat and your faith begins to flounder, that if you call upon the name of Jesus Christ, He won’t be there to grab a hold of you? Even with all our scars, with all that is wrong with us, with all the terrible consequences our sin has laid upon us, God still wants us. We are inseparable.
