Since it was announced last summer I've kept an eye on Jake + Cooper's Dog Park. Now, it's almost open! Jake lost a mental health battle to an overdose in August or 2021. He was 26. His parents, Larry and Jane, who become Cooper's new caretakers, decided to open a dog park, with a mental health bent, to honor their son. This episode is a lot of things. Informative, aware, somber, morose, beautiful, hopeful.

COLD OPEN today, on our visit with Mary Bilyeu, formerly of the Blade, now with my friends at Jewish Federation. I'm a time snob. She is 10 minutes late. Mary is going nuts, in a good way, over a Jewish cook book she's working through. Corned beef on rye, bagels, kugel, blintzes and more! What some spring/summer food trends to look forward to. Mary's new job has allowed her to regrow some brain matter since she doesnt have to be wired in all the time now.

We're gonna talk to Kerrigan from Perrysburg HS. She's here with Jamie from Harbor. They've collaborated on a mental health event to recognize a former PBHS student. Gabby, nor her mom Meghan, nor her Dad, are the boss of the house. And wait till you hear how she and her siblings are punished when someone gets in trouble. Before we get to what I can only call ROUNDABOUT SCHOOL... The Promedica summer shows have been announced, let me clear my throat and share with you. Saturday with the Walleye could be one of the most exciting regular season nights ever at the Huntington Center. The Lucas County Engineers want to teach you how to use a roundabout. Poor self awareness. 

I got to meet another of our fine city council members. Congrats to the humble, eloquent and stunning Zia Cooke as she begins her pro career with the LA Sparks. What's the WNBA vibe these days? Millie engaged, Taylor split up. A vulgar line from Succession.
