No disrespect to the many other officers that have visited before to solicit for academy applicants, the trio of Ofcs. Mclendon, Balboa and Long were a blast! I appreciate that Ofc. The Lady Rockets pulled off a minor upset Saturday night over Iowa State. That landed them a matchup with one of the most decorated women's college basketball programs in history, the Tennessee Volunteers, who are 14.5 point favorites tonight. A few weeks ago I attended a TPD quality of life meeting. I was struck by Patrick Harvey and his insight about the South Toledo block/neighborhood watch he helps oversee. There's very little funding needed to make these as successful as Patrick's is. I hope wherever you live, you can heed some of Patrick's tips and incorporate to your community.
