This Riff#16 is interesting because the capo is on the 11th, only on strings D to the high E. Completely changes up the fretboard! I wrote this one back in November 2016. It's got some potential to be pretty powerful. What do you think of jaggedness? What could you add to it? This song idea has some potential, just need to tie up the loose ends. What do you think of the lyrics, and the B section? Does it compliment the A section well? I also think I'm playing it a little too fast. Should be slowed down a bit. For the B section, I'm definitely picturing some intense percussion, and maybe a clean electric guitar line. Riff #14 is called "Chandelier", and sort of like Riff #12, I think it might be well suited for a film. Some kind of sad, elegant scene or something. Need to find a way to connect it to that riff I play later on in the clip. What other instruments are you hearing as a potential arrangement? One year ago today we lost Chris Cornell. RIP to one of the greatest voices we've ever heard and felt. "Like A Stone" was one of my favorite songs growing up. His voice gives me chills, still to this day. I wanted to pay tribute to him by providing some guitar harmonies behind his incredible isolated vocal from the song.
