Why is Easter important? Because it proved that Jesus Christ was telling the truth. Jesus Christ made outrageous claims. Claims that no good man would make. Claims like I’m the Son of God. I am God in human form. I am the only way to heaven. I’m the way, the truth and the life. Lots of people throughout history have claimed to be God, and Napoleon and prophets and deities all kinds of things. The difference is that Jesus was the only one to prove it. A lot of people claimed to be God. Jesus said I’m going to prove it. I’m going to let them put me to death. I’m going to die for the sins of the world and three days later I’m going to raise myself back to life. Which is exactly what he did. This weekend about 2.3 billion people in the world are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It happened at the dawn of a new day.

Grace! One of the most amazing things about Grace is when it is received, but it is powerful when it is shared! God has given us such grace, but extending Grace to others, usually comes after pain or a reason to forgive. We receive freedom from our past wounds when we choose to forgive.

What we are talking about when it comes to Grace, is knowing that what we face in trouble and pain, according to Jesus, is temporary. Pain and Struggle is temporary – Grace is eternal – God’s plan for your life is eternal – Eternity is what you were created for and an eternity in heaven is what we can look forward to, when we follow the path of Jesus in this life. But we still have pain, we still have struggle; Grace gives us the ability to still be thankful, in spite of, in the midst of, and through this very imperfect, messy life.

The word grace seems so common, it doesn’t feel very amazing. What we will do in this series as we lead up to Easter is take time to dig into what grace actually means, versus what we think it means. God’s grace is more beautiful, freeing, and altogether greater than we could ever imagine.  Over 156 times in the New Testament Grace is mentioned, used and explained. It is offered with no payment in return, you can’t earn it and you can’t pay it back… There is a reason Grace is so amazing and that is EVERYONE Of us needs it.  Romans 3:23 tells us that “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Churches have the unfortunate reputation of hypocrisy; judging others harshly and holding ourselves to a different standard; this doesn’t please God.
 What we learn today is we must all live according to the truth that God knows our secrets and will judge rightly.

Hurtful words can tear apart a relationship and an entire church, so God instructs us to not let anything unwholesome come out of our mouths.

Many people have been burned by other church members or church leaders, and the pain often leaves them confused, hurt, and feeling isolated. What do we do about common problems like hypocrisy, gossip, and judgment? We are going to see there can be a message of hope, comfort, and reconciliation to those who have been hurt by people in the church. We are going to look at the letters to churches written by Paul, these messages encourage the wounded and admonish all believers that they can start fresh and be connected again to the God who loves them and the church he wants to work through in the earth.

Guest speaker, Dr. AJ Swaboda, shares a message that "could save your life!" The Sabbath is something we often neglect in our fast-paced 24/7 lifestyles, but God has called us to rest. Be refreshed and encouraged by this powerful word!

Pastor Lee McCloud shares a powerful message from Luke 5. Jesus calls on Peter to follow Him and become a fisher of men. In this moment, we see an incredible example of how we can recognize and respond to Our Moment when God calls us to greater things!

This opportunity to raise $200,000 in a capital campaign will be a chance to sacrifice and stretch our investment for God's Kingdom. 

What is it about Parables? Here is what you need to know, a parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Jesus used and taught in parables as a means of illustrating profound, divine truths. Stories like these are easily remembered, the characters bold, and the symbolism deep in meaning. Parables were a common form of teaching in Judaism. In today's message we learn what it means to invest and be a courageous giver.

In the last book in the New Testament; Revelation, the Apostle John, has a vision of Jesus. Jesus gives him messages to the Seven Churches of Asia. He gives warnings and promises about these churches and their tomorrows. If a church does not hold to the standard of truth in Jesus, churches risk losing their effectiveness – as believers in Jesus if we lose our active relationship with God, we risk losing our effectiveness and ability to make a difference. This will affect our tomorrow as in our eternal reward and if we slide too far away, we could even risk our eternal destination.

When the Bible says, Take no thought for your life, - what is it saying? It is telling us don’t let worry get a hold in your brain. God would want you to know, "I’m trying to save your LIFE, Do Not Worry!" or  BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING.

Here is the BIG idea today, no matter what is going on around us or inside of us, we must recognize God’s sovereign rule over every facet of our world, we can have peace in spite of the turmoil. We are going to read in the book of Isaiah today…During a time of uncertainty in his nation’s history, Isaiah received hope by a powerful vision that can impact us today and help us in this NEW year – It’s all about God’s Sovereignty!

What would you want people to say about you when you’re gone, or another way to phrase that is what do you want your legacy to be? I want to talk with you this morning using the life of Moses as a backdrop for us. Here is what we learn we need to do: Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.

The breaking between B.C. and A.D. wasn't just about a birth so we could have a new holiday; it was about a new way of life. We should not have a "Christmas faith,” but a transformed life. It’s really about what you will do with Jesus every day of the year.

You see the birth of Jesus was a change not just for Israel – but for ALL people, from Babies to Grandparents – that is what we like to say about Family Life Church – You are welcome here- this is a place from Babies to Grandparents and you know what? We got  that from Jesus. In this passage in Luke, we see two grandparents were first to know who Jesus was.

There is a separation between God and you. The Bible is clear. Just as our calendar is split into to two halves, BC and AD. Every person has a BC and a possible AD. Each of us are born BC. Before Christ because we have a sin problem that only Jesus can fix.
