It seems that this idea of being the Friends Church is a much larger responsibility that we have understood. That’s a tall order isn’t it? So the remaining question to answer is this – How – How do I live this out in my life? How do I become what I am declaring I will be?

AW Tozer wrote this in his book success and the Christian – “Practically everyone has too much, knows too much, sees too much, hears too much, goes too many places, and comes back from too many places.” It’s simply too much too much. So for all of you for whom life is just too much sometimes – this series is for you.

The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 7 about this struggle with moral limits that is deep at the heart of every person. It’s a struggle with boundaries, limits, and an enemy who’s sole purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. So why are we so bent on testing our moral limits?

Stress, fatigue, and burnout are the predictable results of living for too long without margins. We have learned as a society to prolong the suffering. To increase the time we can spend at our limits by using a temporary fix – coping. It doesn’t solve the problem or change the results it just prolongs the inevitable.

The constant highs and lows, demands, and frankly the people begin to wear on us sometimes. Emotional margin is perhaps as difficult to find as any of the others we have talked about.

Today we are talking about finding financial margin – a place that many in our culture struggle with more than any other. We are living through perhaps the most tragic time in our nation’s financial history. Debt is at an all time high...

So how do we find margin in margin less lives? How do we take control of this beast that has control over us? How can we possibly find margins in our time – there is just too much to do. Let me ask you a question – how many of you need just one more day in a week to get everything done. Here is the truth – you would just end up in the same place because this isn’t a matter of time it’s a matter of choices.

Advent is a story of Peace – come to mankind from the hand of the creator. The overarching story is God Created, Man Destroyed, God Restores. That is the message of the prophets and it is the message of the Messiah.
