Why are media outlets, social media and people in general heaping praise on those that come out as trans, non-binary or any LGBTQI+? I thought they wanted to be treated like normal everyday people yet are constantly looking for attention and admiration?

Over the last five or so gigs I have done there has been at least one person who was completely out of it and they have all been females. Why go overboard with the drinking and substances? It's not attractive or healthy.

Science fiction (or sci-fi) is a genre of film and literature that has given us Blade Runner, Terminator, The Matrix, Star Trek and countless others. Do the futuristic technologies and subsequent adaptations of life on earth come from our own fictional creations, or are we slowly being made aware through the very same media that we enjoy?
