The Lord Jesus Christ won the greatest victory in all of history through His death on the cross, His burial in the grave, and His resurrection from the dead. He not only won the battle over sin and death, but He also defeated the disobedient spiritual forces that have been attempting to destroy the human race since we were created. We will learn from I Peter 3:18-22 how mighty a Savior Jesus Christ is!

How do you handle it when people mistreat you or speak bad things about you? Our natural inclination is to attack them in return. However, God’s word tells us, not to be overcome by evil but to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). We will learn from I Peter 3:8-17 how to “inherit a blessing” and “see good days” even when we are challenged by our interactions with difficult and unpleasant people.

The apostle Peter was a married man that understood the building blocks for a godly marriage. He also learned through his ministry how to overcome being slandered and wronged by other people. In the heart of I Peter 3:7-17 he instructs Christian husbands how to treat their wives, and he explains how all Christians can overcome being mistreated by others and access God’s rich blessings in the process. We will learn from this passage how to live for God and glorify him in all our relationships - even the most challenging ones!

How are you to respond when someone in authority over you is disobedient to God’s Word? Probably there is someone in your life that fits that description. We will learn from I Peter 3 how we can influence people who are out of step with God’s ways through godly behavior, inner purity, and personal reverence for God. Will you allow the Lord to equip you today so you can be an instrument to help win and restore someone in their obedience to Him?

We are going to talk about an exposition of John 21 and Peter’s restoration. “Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will also come with you.” They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing.” John 21:3 (NASB)
