Matthew 5:6 Discussion Questions Describe a time when you were desperate for food or a drink. Were you longing for something specific or would any type of food or drink do? When Jesus says for us to be hungry and thirsty for righteousness, what do you think of? How does this beatitude point out what we are hungry for? Read Isaiah 55:1-2 and Psalm 42:1-2. How do these Scriptures, taken together with Matthew 5:6, help us better understand what it means to hunger and thirst for righteousness?
