  • Reducing Demands Not Expectations

    In this episode Victoria discusses why it's important to look beyond a diagnosis of Autism or Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) to find the strategy that is right for the individual.  She focuses on different ways that parents can reduce the demands they place on their children whilst keeping their expectations high. From looking at the way requests are presented, to discussing different ways that more control can be given to young people in order to reduce their anxiety levels this is an episode packed full of strategies.
