Enter a world of artificial time and nature with "Now Wait for Last Year" by Caroline K. As a member of Nocturnal Emissions, Caroline helped craft a strain of early industrial, but by the time her only solo album was released, a new landscape of sound emerged. This is a very special and singular album from 1987, and we all get swept away by its scope.

Blake Edwards (Vertonen, Crippled Intellect Productions, Ballast NVP) delivers the heavy knowledge on one of industrial culture’s originators by bringing Z'EV "An Uns Memonto" CD for us to explore. Blake worked directly with Z'V to release this obscure material, and he relays the process of putting it together as well as his continuing work with Z'EV up to Z'EV's unfortunate passing. With the release of the Proof of the Shooting box set out now on Self Abuse/Fusty Cunt, we thought it’d be a perfect time to have a conversation with Dan Greenwood, one half of Proof of the Shooting and the man behind the long running Diagram: A. Dan digs back into memories of special packaging assembly, discovering noise in the 90s, recording onto VHS tape and so much more.

Chris Sienko, our most guested guest, returns and brings the deep knowledge on TAC “If it Fits” on Spite. While all being big fans of Spite, none of us were quite familiar with TAC, and Sienko rectifies that with a heap of thoughts and info on this fairly obscure project from the golden era. Ten inches of rusted metal junks eclipse all light with K2 "Anybody Can’t Catch Up With This" on Ant Zen. The material on this record is based on the classic album "The Rust," so we compare both releases and discuss why 10"s are such a great format for noise. As we’ve discussed many Drone Records 7"s on Seven Inch Sunday, we thought it’d be a good time to cover the label’s flagship band Maeror Tri and their "Language of Flames and Sound" CD on Old Europa Cafe. Your brain waves may wash ashore on new lands, but the unfamiliar surroundings will prove rewarding. Blur the hemispheres.

Everyone is breaking their own rules as we dissect Sickness’ “I Have Become the Disease That Made Me” (2002). We are honored that Chris Goudreau, the man behind the project, agreed to break his own rule and lend his personal perspective to this episode. We are doubly pleased that Erik Hoffman, of Ground Fault Recordings, also agreed to share some of his memories regarding the history of this seminal work. Join us, as we piece together an audio documentary exploring the precision, nuance, and excitation of this classic noise album.

Another noise history lesson is in session with our guest Mason Jones. From the rising tide of early '90s Japanese noise to the "Japanese American Noise Treaty," Mason was directly involved in shining a spotlight onto the noise underground. His project Trance has a CD of material from 1991 called "Ancient History" out today from Troniks/Helicopter.

Shane English (L.I.E.S. recording artist/Corporate Park) joins us to talk about Esplendor Geometrico “Mekano Turbo,” one of his all time favorite bands and albums. Esplendor Geometrico’s brand of rhythmic industrial noise sends us to many different settings, from jungles to trains. Shane brings the full force momentum for this important slice of 1980s industrial.

Adult film star Charlotte Sartre joins us to discuss Premature Ejaculation's "Anesthesia" album from 1992. We not only delve into the impact and nuance of this album, but also Charlotte's career in porn and the influence Rozz Willams has on her fascinating path. We end the year with an all time favorite of Greh’s in the form of MSBR & Blazen y Sharp "Mass for Dead Insects" CD. Dark atmospheric noise spills into the room from a futuristic past. Greh discusses his relationship with this album and we go all in on this unique 90s noise collaboration.

‘Tis the season to hang the mistletoe, pour the eggnog and break out Smell & Quim’s “The Christmas Album” cassette. Dave Walklett lent his voice to give some background and ideas behind this tape as we trim the tree to the rambunctious noise contained within. 2020 comes to a close, therefore it is time to discuss our favorite noise of the year. We each brought 5 releases to talk about, but of course that’s not enough for us noise maniacs, so we end up going into much more. Our deepest, noisiest THANK YOU to all of our listeners this year...we have only just begun.

Randy Yau joins us for a discussion on his work, both sonic and visual, and we couldn’t have been more honored. His live sets are stuff of legend, and he gets into preparing for a set as well as his recording process (hint: bathrooms are involved). For this important noise history lesson, we will provide the paper, but you need to bring your own celery.

Stephen Petrus (Murderous Vision/Live Bait Recording Foundation) joins us to discuss the classic “Death Odors” compilation on Slaughter Productions. Petrus talks about the importance of compilations to his journey, in terms of both listening and releasing. This episode is coming out in tandem with a brand new comp that Stephen has curated entitled “Dies Natalis Invicti Solis” featuring Brighter Death Now, Deutsch Nepal, Contrastate and many more.
