It's been about a week since JK Rowling posted some controversial tweets that have sparked major backlash. This, plus some problematic issues surrounding Johnny Depp and Ezra Miller, have got Steven and Chandler wondering: what happens with the next "Fantastic Beasts" film, and do we need to take a breaking from the Wizarding World  franchise for awhile? Also this week we're going back to the 1997 film "Batman & Robin," a film that was critically panned, and killed the Batman franchise for nearly 10 years. Chandler's hot take is that "Batman & Robin" isn't that bad, and might border on being good, while Steven speaks up for the rest of the world that "Batman & Robin" is a total mess and deserves its moniker as one of the worst movies ever made. In light of recent recent events Warner Bros has made the film "Just Mercy" free to stream for the month of June. Since it's available for free and accessible to everyone it's what we're talking about this week. We don't want to spoil too much of our review but we do think this is a fantastic movie, and an important one for everyone to see. This week on Act 3, we're talking about the release of HBO Max. This was a largely smooth release so any other potential streaming services should take note. We're also discussing the possibility of Henry Cavill putting the cape back on as Superman again. In Act 3, we're talking about a film from Steven's favorite screenwriter, Aaron Sorkin. "Molly's Game" was released in 2017 but has recently been in the top 10 on Netflix, so what better time to talk about it? Sorkin pulls double duty here as both the writer and director, so we'll break down what we think of his work. We've talked about the Snyder cut of "Justice League" before. But until now it was something that was spoken about as a rumor or myth. Well the Snyder cut is real, and it now has a scheduled release. We're breaking down the big news and talking about what we expect out of it and what it could mean for Superman and all his friends. Star Wars day (May the Fourth) was last week and we got a big announcement officially confirming Taika Waititi will co-write and direct a Star Wars film for theatrical release. It's the return of Hollywood news this week. We're getting our first look at Denis Villeneuve's "Dune" adaption that's due out later this year. We've been hearing about the streaming service Quibi for about a year now. If you haven't been following as closely as we have, Quibi is a video streaming platform exclusively for mobile phones that is focusing on short-form video content, specifically shows less than 10 minutes long. Quibi has a ton of support from Hollywood with Steven Spielberg, Kevin Hart, and Jennifer Lopez all producing content.  Well Quibi has finally launched and with everyone stuck at home this couldn't be a better time for a new video streaming service to come out. Coronavirus is affecting everything. Lots of productions have been shutdown and most new movie releases have been delayed. But the Act 3 podcast is soldiering on!
