Raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, Erin Sullivan has built her career playing the favorite blonde bombshells of the musical theatre repertoire. Most recently she developed and originated the role of Marilyn Monroe in a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright Mark Medoff, MARILEE AND BABY LAMB: THE ASSASSINATION OF AN AMERICAN GODDESS, which premiered at the Rio Theatre in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Sullivan has performed around the country in the National Tours of HAIRSPRAY as Amber Von Tussle in over 300 performances, as Frenchy in GREASE, THE WEDDING SINGER, and SHREK. She recently appeared in the developmental lab of a new musical titled HAZEL: A MAID IN AMERICA directed by the legendary Lucie Arnaz and choreographed by Chet Walker. In 2014, she released her first book THEATRICAL BAGGAGE: A MANUEL, WORKBOOK, AND A BIBLE ON HOW TO SURVIVE A NATIONAL TOUR AND OTHER GIGS. From July 23rd-28th, North Carolina Theatre will be presenting a production of the beloved 1977 award-winning musical, ANNIE. I recently had the great pleasure of interviewing actress Karen Ziemba, who is currently getting ready to star as the villainous Miss Hannigan. I recently had the great pleasure of interviewing actor Lewis J. Stadlen, who stars opposite Betty as the wealthy half-a-millionaire Horace Vandergelder. Lewis J. Stadlen is the recipient of the Irish Times Award for his performance in Arthur Miller’s THE PRICE at Dublin’s Gate Theatre. Eric Woodall has a long history with North Carolina Theatre; as an actor, teacher, and director. As a high school student, he performed in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and GEORGE M! at NC Theatre. After successful years on stage and television, Eric returned to NC Theatre in the late 90’s to direct and help cultivate the existing Summer Theatre Arts School program into the NC Theatre Conservatory. For the past 16 years, Eric worked as one of New York’s top casting directors in the office of Tara Rubin Casting. In 1972, John Rubinstein made his Broadway debut as the title character in the original Bob Fosse production of PIPPIN. Since then, he won a Tony Award in 1980 for his performance as James Leeds in the original production of Mark Medoff's CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD. Rubinstein has also been seen on the Great White Way in FOOLS, THE CAINE MUTINY COURT-MARTIAL, HURLYBURLY, M. BUTTERFLY, LOVE LETTERS, GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER, RAGTIME, and CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. In 2014, he returned to the world of PIPPIN when he took over for Terrence Mann as Charlemagne in Diane Paulus' Tony Award-winning revival before heading out with it on the road.
