I had such a great time jamming with Kyle Mountsier. We talked about defining your dealership's process than work back towards tech, how to own your content and marketing strategy and the importance of a single point sales person. Kyle is so passionate about Driving automotive innovation through contagious marketing and process change. Durran Cage and I started our careers at competing dealerships down the street from each other. It is so serendipity that so many years later we connect in a Clubhouse room. During this podcast we discussed the hybrid approach to training, vroom challenging dealers to do better at branding, OEM involvement with dealers digital retailing efforts, and dealership leaders coaching their staff. Durran loves helping dealers sell more cars. Bottom line. There is nothing more that he gets fired up than seeing a dealer grow their internet sales by 20-50%, and knowing that through the partnership they make it happen together. Its all about people and putting in the right process, and that's his passion.

I had a great conversation recently with Yvan Laviolette Sales and Leasing consultant at Tristar Mercedes-Benz Moncton. We chatted about the stigma of being a car salesperson, exceeding the customers expectations, video lead response, getting over the fear of judgement and transferable talents.

Plus we review the need for dealers to control and protect their own data. Russell has committed to our industry since early web 1.0 his marketing career began in 1998. He joined Autoweb in 1999 and was with them till the sale to Autobytel. In 2017 invested into a series of new ventures that all revolved around using data science, analytics, and machine learning to create new consumer engagement solutions.
