They teach people how to start home gardens so more people can grow your own produce. They are completely volunteer based. They install raised garden beds and drip irrigation with no labour costs. Its a wonderful program to help people start growing food. By using volunteers they are able to have a ripple effect by them learning how to install it in their own yards. It replaces waisted lawn space with food. If you are in the Ogden area, are want some hands on experience on how to install your own raised garden beds, this is a perfect way to find out. Take cuttings from budding out shrubs and trees, soak the cutting in four inch of water for at least 6 hr. then place in freshly tiled soil four inch down, keep moist. In no time at all they will rootin and you will have a new living fence. We discuss the different varieties mostly to create this look. This is a cheaper alternative to buying grow out shrubs. Her job is to help convey how to empower people to upgrade their landscapes while saving water at the sametime. Localscapes is the method created by the Garden Park to achieve this mission. Localscapes is a five step program, specifically designed for Utah's environment. By designing your landscape using the Localscapes method, it is possible to drop landscape irrigation by 2/3 the amount of a typical lawn yard. They have online courses, Localscapes University live class, Design and Irrigation workshops. Cynthia is helping to change the perception of landscapes in Utah.
