Yes, we are nearly a week late to the party. Someone dropped the ball on editing this video and posting it. Covid has affected so much when it comes to wedding planning. From the number of guests there to shutdowns to uncertainty, what are you supposed to do? One of the most popular things we have seen with weddings in 2020 has been the splitting of the wedding day. By this we mean, the ceremony may take place on the original day and the reception takes place at a later date. Some will even do a one-year vow renewal on the second day. However, what a lot of couples are finding out is that the second event is still being affected by covid gathering restrictions. Is it worth the stress, effort, and money to plan a second day when it may look no different than the first day? How far in advance do you plan it? It seems like an end to all the lockdowns and restrictions is never going to come but at some point, it will. When it does, though, things will certainly change and because this is a podcast on all things weddings, we are looking into the future of weddings after covid. We have to know that things will never be the same with weddings, and honestly, that's not a bad thing. Where we are located, it's not unusual to have a 400-800 person wedding. In fact, the higher number is more common than smaller intimate weddings. Due to covid, though, smaller more intimate weddings are becoming the norm and to be honest, we are kind of a fan of this.
